At the moment I do door work/security but I'm most likely going to be getting back into laying floors, something I did for a years with a mate who's step dad owns his own business. Its hard graft though, and very anti social hours, with it being commercial office buildings done mostly,we obviously have to work through the night when the staff have gone home...... the money is nice though.
Also I have to say that this little community seems a lot more bothered about what users do for a living and in their time offline than anywhere else I've been, most other sites no one gives a fuck ?

The only people in this sub that have immediate health problems are smell the glove and odinson. If those two do not give up boozing soon they will have irreversible health problems.

As I said I dont receive any benefits or money from the state, I dont know what door men get in the US but here we earn around £10-12 p/h, which is far from a shitty rate of pay.
That isn't my only form of income though, I have other money coming in from means I choose not to discuss on a public forum.
As for the other line of work, an average night's work would earn me around £150 - £200, which done 3 or 4 nights in an average week made me a nice wage, even though the graft is very hard.

As I said I dont receive any benefits or money from the state, I dont know what door men get in the US but here we earn around £10-12 p/h, which is far from a shitty rate of pay.

They are not degrees here either, but depending on the area of study they can have several job offers before they graduate.

There is no surviving without it and there is very little disposable income left over to put into a bank account. A small percentage of money comes out of my paycheck pre-tax which goes into my 401k.

Yes you can get a 2 year technical degree. They're useful for certain tech fields but they don't hold as much weight or open as many doors as a 4 year degree.
In the US there really is no such thing as a 3 year engineering technology diploma. If you want a degree in engineering its a 4 year Bachelor's.
A golf buddy of mine graduated with a diploma in Welding Engineering Technology from Conestoga college. He is currently the plant manager for the biggest custom fabrication and fitting facility in the area.
Life is so much easier and rewarding with an education than without one..
And I am speaking here as a person who only has a certificate as an administrative assistant..
I will enter into a university program when my children are grown up and on their own..
It might be in a non traditional environment though.
In here you wouldnt get a job as a dishwasher without a diploma..
Doing it without a diploma would against the law.

First off, he is unemployed, hence his ability to be online on a more than healthy basis. Second, he lives with 3 other fellow former "flamers" who invited them in when they learned of his financial situation. Third, and here is the kicker, these former "flamers" are in a bad situation themselves, as they basically live off a government stipend intended for one of these former "flamers" retarded child and they themselves bounce around from job to job trying to find something that sticks. Freud himself told others two of them had seasonal jobs as tour bus drivers for a bit but lost them when the season was over and they then went back to sponging off the mentally challenged child.
But Freud brings a tear to my eye when I read about him pretending to be a woman, like he is unsure of his sexuality or even worse trying anything possible for some kind of human contact. He lives in a fantasy world in his head, just ask him, about being this one time big man on a flaming forum when in reality he was nothing more than a bit player, but for him to speak about himself in such reverence is pretty sad, and then hearing about him pretending to be a woman, to me, seems like a pretty serious cry for help if not for his living condition but definately for his mental make up.
He is now telling anyone who will listen how he is in love with another "flamer", Tom Cruise jumping on couches style at another forum. Its hard to believe this to being true since he enjoys portraying himself as a woman, but then again, the internet is full of its own share of weirdos whom date and marry convicted murderers and child abusers, so maybe it is par for the proverbial course.
