Never been there but I know where it is. I have family in Kipling Regina and fishing lake reserve.

I used to own a house in Regina when I was with my first wife. I was working all over the world and didn't see it much though.

My son just returned from about a year in Australia. He used to go to Canmore a lot in the winter. Worked when he had to and snowboarded and partied when ever he could.

Well he's missing out on the best mountains vancouver has to offer. I think cypress is way better than whistler but baker is pretty amazing too. Baker is just across the line in Washington. You should tell him to go there next time he's around vancouver. I really like snowboarding.

He may have been to those places Mandy, I don't know for sure. What I do know is he needs to work full time and support himself. I think he understands that now----I hope.

He and his gf just had a baby girl 4 months ago, making me a first time Grandma  :yahoo: I'm in B.C. and have never tried snowboarding. I did use to ski a lot at Whistler until I destoyed my kneecap. It never healed properly, so no more skiing for me!

I remember a young kid on there. Was only 17 maybe 19 at the time and he always had questions. He would be almost 30 now. I wonder about him sometimes. Others I know what's happened. One guy had his pregnant gf move to Toronto or something ended up moving there split up with her then got back with her and had more kids. Monique is still just being awesome. I haven't talked to schmooze in a very long time. I may have to dig up his email and see what he's up to.

That can never be answered, but it was a combination of things, in my opinion...

First off, Vin couldn't stop fucking with the forum.  Now, understand that he had enlisted me weeks before he actually transitioned the forum over to phb board, to give advice.  I tried to do my best, to keep the "original" character of Snitz DV going.

Nonetheless, the cranky old hags also began to circle their pray shortly afterwards also.  Well?  In the end, Vin didn't listen to my advice, and simply couldn't stop fucking with the forum.

Another problem, at the end, was Google Ads were receiving quite a few complaints about forum content, and some warnings were issued to the board, by Google Ads.

I think the final nail in the coffin was when essentially the whole database disappeared.  Basically 15 years of content, gone.  I don't know how that happened, why that happened, and have never found out the real reason.  That was the final nail in the coffin.

Towards the end it did start to get silly and frustrating.  That's why I simply stepped down as Mod.  I couldn't be part of a "team" anymore that was starting to do things that went against everything I, and Snitz DV, stood for.

I thin the last reason is the only reason it is gone. How did the db just disappear? People woke up one morning and the forum was gone?

I use this term to differentiate between the original, non-registration DV, owned by Mike Schwartz.  That forum was actually a "Snitz" board, and this relates to the actual format, if you will, regarding the "style" of the board.  It's just a name for a certain type of board format, in regards to the actual programming.

Boards are like cars.  A Chevrolet is different than a Ford mechanically.  Mikey's DV was a Snitz board.

When Vin bought the forum, he changed it over, and (more or less) successfully imported the database over to the "new" forum.

When Vin bought the forum, he changed it over, and (more or less) successfully imported the database over to the "new" forum.

I think I was long gone by the time they started changing the board style. But I did post there for 2 or 3 years.

So tell me more about the people here.

This forum isn't exactly busy, as forums like these are kind of a dying breed these days.  Blame FaceBook, social media shifts, etc...  DATW is a good example of a dead forum floating around in cyberspace, essentially unmanned like a ghost ship.

The Mods here don't let too much funny business fly, which is a good or bad thing, depending on who you ask.  I would say that it is what it is.

The timing was funny...  Asia mentioned long lost posters, including your handle, and just later that night I check DATW, only to see that there (to my surprise) is one last sole poster (you).  That's why I made the invite.

Other than that, pretty well what you see is what you get!

You want to talk about 'babysitting?'

With my ex, I would get to 'babysit' the finances.  I would also get to 'babysit' the cooking cooking and cleaning.  After a hard days work, I would also get to 'babysit' her wishes and desires.  I would also 'babysit' the laundry.

Don't talk to me about "babysitting."

The tub and the shitter?  I also 'babysat' those when needed.

Vacuuming?  Taking out the trash?  It was also me that 'babysat' that also.

Ensuring she paid her bills on time (since separate accounts were always maintained)?  You guessed it!  I was the 'babysitter.'

I run a tight fucking household.  You step into my place, and you see clean and organized.  I don't live like some of you may imagine I do.

I dust, from top to bottom, when the dusting needs done.  You could eat off my floor.

I do this, on my own.  My lazy ex created more work for me than she helped fix.

I don't need 'babysitting.'  You lazy fucking women do!

Bad breath I could have handled (she was pretty good looking, no fatts, and no kids)...

The foul stench of her attitude is what drove me to fury!  She could be very nice, but would often change in a heartbeat!

At first I though maybe it was myself to blame, but alas!  Nope!  Months after we separated, and she was living on her own, did her employer shitcan her for nothing more than her foul attitude!

She lost a decent paying job, in which employees are in short supply...  I KNEW there was a reason behind her shitcanning, and it was her foul attitude!

She is the typical North American female.

She now had to move out of my city, and back home with Mom and Dad.

I briefly housed her here, when she was jobless and homeless, but after a month I said to her that she'll need to make a plan to do something!  (She did nothing here, but eat me out of house and home)...

She copped a 'tude again...  I can't live with something like that.

Western women should clean up their act.  There are fewer and fewer guys that are willing to put up with their shit, when (for a man) the return is absolutely zero.

Ring?  I don't even do gold...  Custom made Platinum, with diamonds!  No doubt that ended up in the pawny, sold for a fraction of the cost...

On top of this, I had to not only work, but take care of household duties, since she was too fucking dumb to do anything with any reliability...

As you can see...  Modern Western women have left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

She's lurking because DATW is deader than dead.

This place is second best to what she may remember from Snitz DV.

Memebee may also be familiar to her.

Nonetheless, nothing exists that would replicate what once was.  I hope Mandy understands that.

No, he's the shop manager.....he's on salary..

He can get a day off here and there in lieu of overtime.

He gets a company pick up truck though, but even that's a taxable benefit.

Seeking counsel from you would be like discussing race relations with Shen Li.
