Sure, political parties often pander to ethnic communities but this is no faux outrage. Pandering is one thing, but the BC Liberals wanted to exploit past wrongdoings against ethnic groups to buy their votes. It's insulting.

Sometimes it's how the game is played but if you get caught the people have the right to show their displeasure.

QuoteFollowing on the heels of a major scandal from inside the premier's office, more proof has emerged showing the $11 million Bollywood awards were carefully designed as a pre-election photo op and are just another example of the BC Liberals campaigning with public money, say New Democrats.

Published media reports reveal that the premier courted the International Indian Film Academy Awards, but talks fell apart when the established awards show refused to move its June awards to before the May election. An IIFA official named Premier Christy Clark and two top officials from the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation as part of these discussions.

The official said the government put in a bid that was two thirds less than the government originally promised in a draft memo of understanding, knowing it would be rejected. The government has since set up its own Bollywood awards show in April, which will cost taxpayers $11 million.

The only difference between the BC Grits and every other poli party in Canada is they got caught with their pants down.

Perhaps, I don't know nor care about politics..

If they did get caught as you say, they should be held accountable.
