Is weed cultivation still against the law down under? I can understand in Bali. Australia is upscale and civilized, as are most countries/states that chose to legalize. Makes sense to take the crime part out of it. Seems like there are way more positives related to weed, than negatives.

It's not legal for the most part but informally decriminalized unless the cop is a complete wanker. In that case he confiscates it, takes his or her portion for their next backyard piss up and turns the rest in. Then varying degrees of charges and fines are leveled at the peaceful person robbed by the dickhead.
The flipside is that cop parties are fun and fully supplied.
