FaceBook was only inevitable...  I should have been able to predict its rise to power.



Why?  I've been posting on anonymous boards for a few years, and I'm still quite shocked as to how many people want to become "friends" with each other in private, through whatever means...  PM's, Skype, email address, etc.



It's nothing new.  People have always wanted to control their groups of friends around them.

I stopped using FB more than a couple of years ago. I still use Xiaonei to communicate with my friends in China.
