Definitely a con for the most part. I used to play them a lot. Biggest single win was $3,000.00. Bought a new boat with that one. Have won probably 10 - $500.00, 4 - $300.00, 4 - $200.00, 20+ $100.00, 100+ $50.00, and no telling how many of the lower denominations. After a while I started buying something when I hit $50 or more. Fishing equipment, hunting equipment and any other knick knack I or the wife wanted. Am I even? Nope... Rarely buy them anymore.

I was spending $50 a week or so. I probably played a couple hundred dollars worth a week with the wins I got from that $50. Played exclusively at one store. Store owner would let me know if the big tickets were already won in a pack. On $2 ticket packs there was usually one $50.00 winner. When it was won I would stop buying out of that pack. Larger wins just happened once in a while with no pattern. Funny thing was when I won the 3000, the store owner and another customer that played a lot were splitting tickets. They were working a new pack really hard. I bought one ticket while they were still playing. They were pissed when I won that...LOL Called me everything but white. I laughed like hell all the way to the lottery office.

I dont play any lottery or gamble at all. Its all a rip off. I have been to casinos to enjoy a drink and some food while I watch people on the slots throwing all their money away...what a ridiculous addiction!!
I never buy scratch and wins...sometimes I get them as a treat for Lo...she actually has won $5-$20 on these things...I dont buy lotto tickets but if it is 50+ million I may buy a quick pic for fun. Theyre all rigged.
