Man arrested after accidentally texting ex-boss: 'Help me kill my wife'



"Hey Shayne hows it going. You remember you said that you would help me kill my wife. I'm going to take you up on that offer," Lytle is accused of writing in a text message obtained by KIRO7.



But the text addressed to "Shayne" was actually sent to the man's former boss, who called 911 Tuesday evening and showed the message to sheriff's deputies, says a statement of probable cause outlining the case against the suspect.

Without context, you could claim you were just kidding but if there is any other evidence you were serious, which would be obtained through search warrants, you'd be busted.

So, the text alone is not enough to convict?

No. It would be circumstantial.  A judge must be satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that the only rational inference that can be drawn from the comment is one of guilt.  That would require additional evidence.

Theres gonna be No conviction on this case .



All he has to say is , " i didnt sent it ............ my fone but it wasnt me " .



OR



" It was banter " , i was drunk .



The prosecution have to prove ' Intent ' , over banter .



Plus the police have to prove it was actually HIM , that sent the text .  



The police have No way of proving just Who sent the Text .
