The airline's less attractive attendants will instead be relegated to domestic flights with foreign frolics designated for sexier rivals.
"They told us all that only the young and thin will fly abroad for Aeroflot," Yevgenia Magurina told The UK Sun.
She said the airline told the formerly frequent fliers that "only the young and thin" get to fly abroad where they're paid more money and enjoy layovers at hot spots.
"We were all photographed en masse and measured — some were even weighed," Magurina said. "This was done under the pretext of company rebranding and ordering new uniforms for staff."
Another added that the women were even being "weighed like cows." Now they've taken their fight straight to the Kremlin and President Vladimir Putin.
But Aeroflot is denying the charges saying only babes get the first-class treatment.
"These allegations are without foundation – Aeroflot does not discriminate based on age, sex, weight, appearance, religious or political convictions, or indeed any other grounds," the company said in a release.
But Magurina disagreed.
"They stopped putting anyone on international flights if they are older than 40 or take more than a (Russian) size 48 (UK – 16)," she said.

I am seeing more men working as flight attendants in North America too. I am flying to Florida next weekend to play golf, and I have no doubt there will be men or older women working in the cabin.
I agree about it not being a good job. Heck, I don't even know if pilot is a good job anymore.

Thats what I was thinking. I cant see them paying a decent wage either.
I can only see the young working these jobs anyway...anyone who is raising children cant do this job...and if they did, its not worth it.

I think most airlines are having to work with an ageing group of flight attendants. It seems that many US based carriers are adding more and more male attendants to their crews to supplement the lack of women coming to the profession. The last flight I was on, coming back from Florida, 3 of of the 4 attendants were guys and that's not unusual.
Air Force Flight was it cos theres no domestic planes that can haul your fucken arse.

Thats what I was thinking. I cant see them paying a decent wage either.
I can only see the young working these jobs anyway...anyone who is raising children cant do this job...and if they did, its not worth it.

The second picture shows the competition for flight attendant jobs in Asia..
But, in North America, it's not considered a good job.
Back when I was Limo Driving, I used to pick up Flight Crews and pilots from various airlines.
Although I didn't drive them, I used to see Air China stewardesses come out from International Arrivals at YVR. They were very distinct, and wore these bright red uniforms:
Many were tall, slender and pretty in an Asian Chinese way. They always had nice bodies. Long and leggy. They carried themselves well. I guess those were they were the cream of China's girls. After a long flight, I'd often see them taking a smoke break outside the terminal. smoking must be common in China.
But the most beautiful stewardess I ever met was from Iceland:
blond blue eyed Aryan Nordic type..not very friendly though. Icy personality just like the name of their country. She didn't even say hello nor smile back when i picked her crew up. But she was perfect and she knew it. I guess the world thought it owed her something and she probably always she got what she wanted.
The friendliest stewardesses I ever encountered was from the United States. Flirtatious and playful.

As I said they take the airport shuttle or they take taxis which may include a van taxi..
But, flight crews do not take limos.

Cabs pull up regularly to the curb outside the exit and departures.
