"Alan" refers to Alan Bond, one of the beneficiaries of the 1980's credit rorts that we experienced in Australia.



Bond, like most of the scammers, was just a con artist who established massive paper wealth before his Ponzi scheme went belly up. But he thought he was a God, above the common man. Hence KBW recorded this song about an aborigine moving next door to his mansion in Perth.



The one achievement he is famous for is that he financed the America's Cup team that won the America's Cup from America for the very first time.
