First, "the mod" aka kiebers has very limited capabilities.  He can't prevent people from PMing, limit access, etc.  He can move/delete posts and ban people.  He does his job well IMHO.



What I find out of the ordinary is having an admin, who has access to all sorts of tool including moderation tools, to be complaining about posters' action with every available means to address the issue.  As users, we see discussion of private messages, constant complaints, the application of annoying word censors, chiding, etc, rather than removal (even temporarily) of an offending poster.



Maybe I'm getting old or soft but I get tired of the childish name calling and bullying.  It makes this place feel toxic.  I'm also not saying I haven't participated in it myself but maybe it's time to give it a rest.

If he is abusing more "on-topic" boards, then there are sub-forums here that are suitable for his posts, which he can be restricted to.



When I modded at DV, these decisions would often have had to be made in seconds or minutes...  And I made them.  Judgement calls regularly existed.

And at the end, everyone was still relatively happy, even though you just did what you had to do.



The ones that needed instant canning, were fucking canned.  And there were enough of them also...  Mostly Asian spammers...



Although I decided to "play" with one Asian spammer of counterfeit goods, and actually kind of got to know her personally!  Even so, her job was to spam, and she had to eventually go too.
