Title: Fun with Energy Conversions!
Post by: Angry White Male on May 24, 2017, 10:29:24 PM
A .44 Magnum handgun round, which is quite a powerful handgun round, has around 800 ft-pounds of energy at the muzzle when fired.

A 400 pound Renee running at 8 mph (may be possible for very short bursts) has 855 ft-pounds of kinetic energy contained in her mass.

An average liver can process 1 unit (10 ml) of alcohol per hour. This means if you drink 12 units of alcohol you will be completely sober in roughly 12 hours.

In Mel's case, if he gave up drinking on 5/26/2017 @ 6:00am (west coast standard black out time) he would be completely sober, roughly around November 2019....give or take a month.

Yeah well, don't even get me started on alcohol burn rates and how dangerous it is to have Mel anywhere near an open flame..... :laugh3:
