Last year, it was South Africans who came to our aid during the Fort McMurray wildfires.

How is the wildfire fight going out in BC? Any help from Mother Nature?

Just talked to a friend who was on evacuation order. It stopped just short of his place ... it stopped at the river "this time", but he knows it could start up anywhere and has already seen how the wind created by fire can make it flare up into a huge fire and then move extremely fast



He said it was pouring rain (maybe local because of the fire?) but the fire itself continued to move very fast

Castlegar and Nelson last I read.  Nothing is threatening us but the smoke is really thick.

I had to look up both of them. I heard about  Kamloops,  Kelowna and Williams Lake(I had to look that one up too).

We had to evacuate in 2013 during the Southern Alberta floods..



I hope your friend doesn't have to do that.
