That clash in Virginia is sucking all the oxygen out of room. So, this will be my last thread on those events.
our in 10 Americans believe that "both sides" were equally responsible for the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend, indicating that President Trump's comments at a combative press conference earlier this week resonated with more of the public than expected. Another 46 percent of Americans believe that far-right groups were most responsible for the violence, the SurveyMonkey poll found, whereas just 9 percent believe counter-protesters are most to blame.

Regardless of what you think about the stupid violence of Charlottetown, one side represents a dying, racist point of view. That's why these white supremacist POSes are getting told to fuck off and they should be told to fuck off.
The thing that also gets me is Martin Luther King was very clear - your message gets lost when you get violent. It's time to follow history again and follow the peaceful way.
Stupidest thing I've ever seen is protest protesters. So counter productive.
All they do is harden those dumb twats they try to block ... increasing their will further and causing similar ilk to sympathise and sign on.
Added "publicity" always works that way
STUPID ... and it doesn't end with more hardened nazis ... it's worse ... the hard core of the protest protesters are simply violent anarchists growing in numbers also ... who will get progressively more violent as time goes on to achieve their "cause / power show of the moment"
Not to mention the danger created along with the added and otherwise unnecessary huge and costly police presence needed to keep them from attacking

I think it's hard for people not to react strongly when racists come to town. I'm not sure I wouldn't be out there wanting to kick their ass too but it gains stmpathizers and that is counterproductive.

Houston Man Plotted Bomb Attack on Confederate Monument, Feds Say - Caught in act
HOUSTON – A 25-year-old man has been taken into custody for attempting to 'maliciously damage or destroy property receiving federal financial assistance', announced Acting U.S. Attorney Abe Martinez. The charges come after the FBI and ATF raided a home in Houston Sunday.
According to the complaint, on the evening of Aug. 19, 2017, a Houston park ranger observed Schneck kneeling among the bushes in front of the General Dowling Monument located in Hermann Park in Houston. Schneck was allegedly holding two small boxes with various items inside to include what appeared to be duct tape and wires.
After placing the boxes on the ground per the ranger's request, Schneck then allegedly took a drink from plastic bottle but immediately spit it on the ground. The ranger then noticed a timer and wires in the box and notified the Houston Police Department (HPD), according to the complaint.
The clear liquid was field tested as was a white powdery substance found in a small, black aluminum tube which revealed they were most likely nitroglycerin and Hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD), respectively, according to the charges. HMTD is a high explosive organic compound used as an initiating, or primary explosive.

This is what the crazies have given birth to and are encouraging.
Nuts.
How can there be any doubt in anyone's mind that there are two guilty parties. In fact, if had not been for the anarchists the rightist march would not be newsworthy.
So you just let racists walk through your streets chanting their hate shit and do nothing?
Nowhere has that happened in present day.
And I think those dumb racist asshats are finally starting to get the message.
No matter how much we dislike their message and what they advocate, the supremacists had every right to rally because we are allowed our freedom of speech in this nation. Their opponents should have just let them be. It is also important for us to hear what the supremacists have to say so that we are well-informed as what exactly they are saying. I say this even though I am not a supporter of their cause.

Look a little closer.
You won't see it, because you will never have to.
It's as simple as the "attack on the Straight White Male." It's as simple as that.
What this attack is creating, is a lot of frustrated straight white males, that ARE NOT Neo-Nazi's (most people don't even know what Hitler stood for, and would probably disagree with 90% of his ideologies today)...
The world is creating an Anti-White male world... And this has already started with feminism, and even before, so it's nothing new.
I warned of this becoming a problem, and as such it is. It will get worse.
Maybe Whitey has bent over enough for everyone else, and has pretty much had it not only becoming the slave, but also the taxpayer and the babysitter of his new masters. Sounds a little over the top? That seems to be exactly what 'they' want.

Here we see history repeating itself except antifa are the fucking goons breaking up small demonstrations by "delusional goofs who couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery."
Quote
George Lincoln Rockwell's ambitions were undiminished by reality.
He wanted to be the American Fuhrer.
A despot who would rid the United States of blacks, Jews and their commie fellow-traveling supporters.
The 49-year-old fanatic had spent years building the American Nazi Party but all around there were traitors, cannibals ready to eat the emperor of the new order.
On Aug. 25, 1967, outside the Econo-wash laundromat in Arlington, Virginia where Rockwell was doing his laundry a killer lay in wait.
Witness Ruby Pierce, 60, later told the Washington Star Rockwell was a "tall, charming man" who had forgotten his bleach.
Then: Bang! Bang!
Lying dead on the street in a pond of his poisonous blood alongside his 1958 Chevrolet was the American Nazi.
"I am not surprised at all," his father George told reporters. "I've expected it for quite some time."
The man who wanted to be the American incarnation of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler is largely forgotten now, except possibly for viewers of Amazon's Man in the High Castle. In the series, New York City's airport is called Lincoln Rockwell.
But during the 1960s, the racist Rockwell was well known as a hater par excellence.
Like many Americans, Rockwell — a decorated career navy man — found the anti-communist crusade of the time an intoxicating elixir.
However, the malicious mixologist added a large dollop of racism to his insidious cocktail of bile and in 1959 founded the American Nazi Party.
Corn-cob pipe smoking Rockwell spewed his personal sewer in hate tracts, speeches and books.
"This time we'll hate, alright — but we'll hate the ENEMY — the vicious gang of coloured scum attackers and Jewish-Communist traitors — rather than one part of our own people hating another part for the benefit of the Jews and their army of SCUM!," Rockwell opined in White Self-Hate: Master-Stroke Of The Enemy.
In an interview with famed Roots author Alex Haley for Playboy shortly before his death, Rockwell suggested that blacks were inferior and should probably go back to Africa.
These twisted views were typical.
"I don't believe for one minute that any six million Jews were exterminated by Hitler. It never happened," Rockwell told Haley.
Soon, Rockwell had a rag-tag band of followers — dressed in brown uniforms adorned with swastika armbands — who broke up civil rights demonstrations and peddled hate from one end of the U.S. to the other.
In the spirit of the times, Rockwell even established Hatenanny Records (a play on folk music gatherings known as a hootenanny).
His low-rent stormtroopers and their "fuhrer" hit the road in their so-called Hate Bus pushing the nauseating records and their White Power message.
Hitmakers like Odis Cochran and the Three Bigots sang Ship Those N****** Back.
Yet, despite his terrifying message, the FBI considered Rockwell a joke, a delusional goof who couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery.
The FBI report read: "Lincoln Rockwell is an egocentric and a chronic failure who created the shabby, small-time enterprise which he named the American Nazi Party in order to abate his tormenting ambitions to achieve fame. Carrying the war-tattered banner of a vanquished enemy the world would like to forget, Rockwell leads his heterogeneous 'army' against an imaginary 'Zionist conspiracy.' Distasteful costumes, contemptible slogans, and disruptive tactics have brought national attention to Rockwell, inflating him and his group far beyond their due."
I have no guilt at all what so ever....
Quote from: "kiebers"
I have no guilt at all what so ever....
And you shouldn't either. Nobody today should be held accountable for injustices of the past that they had no role in. But, nutjobs who rewrite history for brainwashed tards like Scouse have no shame, empathy or honesty.
I'm German and Japanese and I have no guilt about either side of my heritage.

I have no problem with them receiving the widespread and massive opposition they have faced at every demonstration. We should object to the objectionable...just without violence.

Hate speech is defined legally here as any speech calling for violence or genocide against a person or group based on race, religion, creed, gender, sexuality, etc.
But yes, I HATE racism. Don't you?
That said, being a racist isn't illegal nor should it be as long as violence isn't being advocated against a group.

No one likes racism RW. Have you ever thought some of these "racists" were either raised that way, something terrible happened to them that made them that way, it is their belief, or maybe its a mental issue. A number of possibilities. As long as there is no violence, and they have the freedom of speech, they deserve to speak, and have that right. These folks were not allowed to speak, and violence was brought to their door, not the other way around. Had Antifa not showed up armed with projectiles of filth and pain, aiming hate at people who there rightfully to speak, this would have never escalated the way it did.
It seems you are the only one that doesnt see the other side, and are blinded by the media's portrayal of "racism" from these folks. Not all of them were racists.
I like you RW, but I dont like that you cant see, and want to throw the "racists" under the bus the same way the media is doing. "Time to put your glasses on" comes to mind ac_cool

Most of them cant even be religious, cause the book says "do not judge others, or you will be judged before Me".
I agree, WAY to accommodating. But the more the media holds them in the light, the stronger they will get. Trump needs to say fuck the haters and PC crap, and oust them for who they are. He won his presidency based on not being too PC. Like Obama, was a lot of talk before elected, then changed once in office. Does the CIA do some kind of MK Ultra on elected presidents lol?

Throw racists under the bus? They should be thrown under buses! In fact, we had an incident here in Vancouver on the skytrain where a woman went off on an Asian couple. She got put in her place quickly. That's how it should be.
You guys talk about the violence of AntiFa and I've denounced it. You talk about freedom of speech, and I've supported it within the law. But Blazor, it wasn't AntiFa that took away a woman's freedom of speech FOREVER. Are you intentionally ignoring that fact?
Masked, violent, intolerant anarchists have journalists in their crosshairs now
The fascism of the 'anti-fascists' on display
Quote
To some fevered minds in the punditocracy the, ahem, "anti-fascist" demonstrators in Quebec City last weekend were like our Allied forces storming the beaches of Normandy to take on Hitler.
Odd, but I don't recall our World War II vets, having defeated Nazism, returning home to attack police with smoke bombs, fireworks and glass bottles.
Nor do I recall them assaulting journalists.
But that's what happened to a Global TV news crew last Sunday afternoon in Quebec City, there to cover the dueling protests between a far-right, anti-immigration group called La Meute ("The Pack") and, ahem, "anti-fascist" counter protesters.
As Global made clear in its story headlined, "Quebec City protests: anti-fascist protesters clash with police" -- the violence came from one side only, the so-called "anti-fascists".
At 2:15 pm, Global reporter Dan Spector tweeted, "Quebec police have just declared the protest illegal. Antifa (anti-fascists) are shooting fireworks and smoke bombs."
At 3:40 pm, Spector tweeted: "Protestors wearing black with their faces covered smashed (Global cameraman Jean-Vincent Verveille's) camera."
At 5:28 pm, Global reporter Mike Armstrong, shoved down some stairs by the "anti-fascists", tweeted: "Great shots in our story tonight by colleague JV (Jean-Vincent Verveille). He took some great stuff until his cam was spiked like a football by masked protestors."
At 5:48 pm., Armstrong tweeted: "On the masked figures that assaulted us today ... It was a violent faction of anti-racists. La Meute hasn't even come out of the garage (where it initially gathered) yet."
Following these unprovoked assaults on its news crew by the, ahem, "anti-fascists", Global News Senior VP Troy Reeb issued the following statement:
"We are disgusted and outraged by today's unprovoked attack on a Global News crew covering demonstrations in Quebec City. While we are relieved that our journalists were not seriously hurt, Canadians should be concerned by this threat against the working of a free press. Our team was there to provide independent coverage and transparency as events unfolded – a goal clearly not shared by the thugs who shielded their identities in the commission of violence."
One would have hoped more media pundits, who think about stuff a lot as opposed to covering the news like working journalists, would have joined Reeb in expressing solidarity with Global's news crew and in condemning the so-called "anti-fascist" demonstrators who attacked them.
Alas, many were too busy writing painfully stupid columns arguing the anti-fascist protesters are defending democracy, while the fascist protesters want to establish a racist, totalitarian state.
In the real world, the fascist protesters are human scum, but the anti-fascists who violently engage them are no better.
Many of these "anti-fascists" are anarchists, others have no idea what they want, and all would, I guarantee you, be as bad as the fascists if they ever controlled the levers of power.
By contrast, our World War II vets fought and died to defend democracy and defeat totalitarianism.
They believed in the rule of law and that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.
They defeated tyranny and returned home, where their loved ones had sacrificed along with them, to build a better life for their children. They were our greatest generation.
To compare them to these so-called "anti-fascist" thugs on the streets not just of Quebec, but everywhere, is to insult their honour and their memory.

I have yet to see someone on this board support AntiFa.
Now where's the outrage at the blatant and vile bigotry and racism purported by the alt-right? Someone DIED in Virginia at the hands of a neo nazi.
RW, yank your head out of your ass.
Besides Scouser, nobody here agrees with the alt right. However, as fucked as their opinions are they do not cause the violence, disruption and burden on emergency services that those cowardly, masked antifa POS thugs do. Let's be honest for a change, they are urban terrorists that we tacitly tolerate. It's this tolerance for intolerance by the Charlottesville police that caused a death. Not that antifa gives a shit. Collateral damage as far as those animals are concerned.

If someone decides to be racist, shame on them, and thats good that one skytrain woman got put in her place, but they still have their own beliefs and rights. And we need to squash it ASAP.
There seems to be this attitude that something is right or wrong based on whether you agree with those committing the acts or not. That is dangerous thinking. It's not ok to physically attack people - PERIOD. It doesn't matter the cause.
Taking sides in an unnecessary violent conflict like this is stupidity personified. Both these groups should be condemned for their behaviour. Threats issued for more violence between them should be taken as legally serious and dealt with swiftly and appropriately like throwing some of these organizers in jail for inciting hatred.

Thankfully that's true but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be opposed on mass when the couple hundred of them show up. It sends a message to the ones who didn't turn out that racism isn't okay. We can't say that enough frankly (without violence!)
I find both the alt right and alt left's views nuts. But, the alt left covers their faces, and uses violence to stop people they disagree from expressing themselves. That makes them a much bigger danger than the alt right. Not to mention their numbers are a lot larger than the alt right.

I don't disagree with you and I've said more than once they are opposite sides of the same coin. That doesn't mean we shouldn't speak out against hatred and racism.
In Charlottesville, alt righters applied for and received from the city a permit to hold their rally in the park, and were quietly holding their demonstration when antifa and BLM showed up. I wonder who came to fight.
The same violent actions took place in Quebec City with the anti-illegal immigration group called La Meute being the target. If people cover their faces at public rallies, it's usually for nefarious purposes.

You are incorrect sir.
BLM and AntiFa had city rally permits that day. Technically the Alt-Righters didn't have a permit because the city wouldn't give them one for that park. They sought a court injunction and won the right to protest in their desired location. They did so on a court injunction, not a permit.
They both came to fight. The righties were armed to the tits and many videos have been released saying they were ready for a fight. The left came armed and ready to fight. These groups clash regularly.

Iron Horse, you are mostly right, but they didnt even get to hold their demonstration. They were corralled to the area while being attacked, and once there, the judge pulled the permit at the 11th hour. The speaker never even got to speak. They had the actual speaking area fenced off and guarded by the cops. So they were trapped in between the Antifa thugs, and the law. Of course they didnt fight the law, unlike what the Antifa is known to do, or kill them.
RW, they did get their permit, but they had to fight for the location. They had already got the permit for that area then Antifa and BLM got permits for 2 nearby parks. Thats when the judge wanted to move the white group. Thats when they had to fight for it. Totally wrong in my opinion considering the statue they were protesting coming down was at the park they originally got the permit for. Then as Antifa and BLM matters were overfilling the area, before the speaker even got there, the permit was pulled.

I would be more worried about the alt left than any other fringe group that takes to the street to make the public aware of their cause.
I feel the same way about white supremacists rallying as I do about gay parades. Not necessary. They are all parading messages that many don't agree with. They all do not need to rally and parade but it's obvious they will never stop because of how strongly they believe in their cause, ideology, preferences. My wish that they don't rally and parade will never be fulfilled. These groups have a stage and they will be heard. They will rally and parade no matter what. So, I just ignore them and let them be. Why should I waste my time to try and extinguish their rallies and parades when I know they will always do it no matter what anyone thinks? How arrogant of me to think I can silence them.

We had a rally at city hall in Calgary recently by the Soldiers of Odin..
While they are not explicitly racist, I would never attend..
I would never be in attendance at any overtly political public gathering..
That's not to say, there are not issues that are important to me..
But, pushing one's political ideology in the public's face is not something I appreciate, so I wouldn't do that to anyone else.

They had a court order to rally in the park where the statue was because the city pulled their permit for that park, so they didn't technically have a permit but they had a court order.
A judge overrode the city's decision to pull the permit for the Emancipation Park rally because of the size (or so they say). They were there on court injunction.
The other groups did have permits.
Right?
I think rallies, except to show numbers as a means of collective government lobbying, offer a one time opportunity to be collectively ignored. In numbers, a point is usually made with the numbers themselves.

They had their own rallies booked, eh. And you know the alt-rightards showed up with GUNS right?
VA is a right to carry state. At least they didnt kill any cops like the alt-leftards

To a degree you're both wrong
Right?
I think? But the other groups permits were for other parks, not Emancipation park.
Blazor, as you can see RW is the dumbest piece of shit on the internet. What the idiot starts calling folks rightards she lost any argument long ago. She's too stupid to figure it out.

It can be difficult to be objective about the violence that took place in Charlottesville and Quebec City when you have a poster who doesn't even hide that he admires fascism..
Not even iron horse jockey goes that far..
But, as much as I find both sides views sickening, I stand by that the antifa side is the more violent one....and a lot more violent too.

I live near Klanville. They dont bother nobody. Nice people. They dont like to be fucked with though. Racism is dying out, and will continue to do so unless the fires are flamed... which has been going on. When Obama came into office, a lot blacks, gays and such felt like they gained power to a degree. With Trump, they think they will lose some of that power, and they are acting out. By acting out against those white supremacists, they flamed the fires, and prolly increased the supremacists base. Racism was on the way out before Obama, but I've seen it increasing more and more since, and its not one type of racism.

Fash is an observant person.
Racism is still on the way out. A change at the white house doesn't stop the momentum.
What is changing is the amount of violence at protests. And I don't finger the alt right exclusively for the increase either.

I dont blame ya RW. But the tiki torches I didnt see anything wrong, it was at night  . As far as the chants of hate, I havent seen any videos of it other than the media saying they were. The only chants I seen that night were "blood and soil" "you will not replace us" and "save jackassson and Lee". I did not see things like "hang the n1ggers" "we want slaves again" or "attack on black"
I saw one video of them chanting about Jews but Blazor, having been to many rallies, a lot of shit is said and done that goes unseen. I watched videos where people were saying the intimidation by the alt-right started the night before even.
Also I read some lists of the groups that were present and there were a lot of different groups on both sides - groups I've never heard of. Who ultimately gets the credit for the violence? The organizers?

Did they actually say "Jews"? Cause I swear I only seen the ones where they were saying "You". Maybe they were supremacists from Jersey and were saying You's but sounded like Jews
