Hitler had seven or so of these Mercedes-Benz 770s, and he also ordered a number of similarly specced cars as gifts to friends and dignitaries, including Emperor Hirohoto and Finland's Mannerheim, so determining whether any particular 770 actually belonged to Hitler can be problematic.



This particular car. registration IA148697, was originally misidentified as belonging to Hermann Göring.  This is an interesting article detailing the process of tracing the car's history:
