Title: A Tribute to Real Woman...
Post by: Angry White Male on August 30, 2017, 12:53:51 AM
...now that she has peacefully left this Earth, and has gone up to fly with the Angels.

This is the Willingdon exit in Burnaby, where RW grew up.  It wouldn't have looked like this back then (I know, as I helped build the new interchange a few years back), but nonetheless this would have been familiar to her.

It wouldn't be far, until she got home, where her poor parents tried instilling morals in her, even to the point of beating her with phone receivers and various other objects, but as you can see...  it did no good!

This is on Willingdon, facing North, at Canada Way.  It's hazy today, since the fire smoke from the Western US states happened to blow up today.  It's not hazy like this, generally.

This is Chinksville.  Those towers you see are for the Chinks also.  I helped build a couple of them.

When RW was growing up, she most likely lived a couple miles North of those towers, where enough Wops do remain.

I like the Wops, and have worked plenty in their areas around Barnett, which isn't that far from here...

Yes, I'm very familiar with both those locations.

I grew up in the Metrotown/Champlain area.  We moved to the north after I graduated high school.

Brentwood has sure exploded lately. Everytime I'm there, they are adding a new tower to the place.  It's too bad that mall sucks.

I notice the movie industry is back and busy too.

Come to Victoria, Joe.

I've still got room in the hallway closet; I'll rent it to you for cheap.

You'd be free to come out of the closet any time you wish.

(But: no sniffing my high heels.)
