Don't know anyone that smokes them, but they are now banned.



It's good that Trudope finally conquered this massive problem of Menthol cigarettes, to make way for legalized pot.



He's a REAL leader, that the people can look up to!

There ya go!  Alberta banned them Provincially months ago, but BC didn't.



Now they are banned at a Federal level.

I smoked for 17 years and quit.  I smoked menthols for most of it.



Why ban just menthols, why not ban all cigarettes, or not.  why single out menthols?



BTW I wonder if the provinces that ban them will lose a lot of tax revenue.



Most of the price of cigs in the US is taxes, if they're ever banned, the government will lose a ton of money.

I'm not complaining about the cost of smoking, Joe.  I budget it into my lifestyle.



When I traveled to Ontario many years ago, tobacco would grow there.  I doubt it grows well in our climate here...

I smoke menthol.  I switched to menthol so I would quit...I cant smoke a regular ciggarette anymore, its gross.  I dont smoke much...a pack a week...if they discontinue them, ill just quit period.

Not a chance. If they banned cigarettes, the provinces and Ottawa would lose a lot of revenue. And contraband cigarette sales  would soar even higher.

Well it true.  Menthol will be discontiuned on October 2.  I cant smoke a regular ciggarette anymore so Im just going to quit.  I have no choice..but thats a good thing.  



I guess I may keep a pack in the freezer as I know there will be the occasional times I just want to smoke a doob or have a beer and a smoke.
