Too small and underpowered for North American roads and desires. Very rare to see one here that's a daily driver.
How the VW Beetle became such a success here, is another story I guess! However, even those are getting quite rare to see as a daily driver here.
Then again, our climate isn't always friendly to cars... especially older cars.

Not sure if its authentic or a replica. I wanted to ask but they'd left by the time I got to their parking area.

Coolest looking sports car my dad owned. Factory 3 SU carb setup. Drove like it was on rails. Electronic over drive that you could engage and then just flip the switch off and cruise, hit the accelerator and it was like a passing gear when coming out of overdrive. The Alpha we had after that was pretty cool as well. But still, the Healey was number one.
Some nice looking cars Bricktop.

4 days. 3 days of rally type stages and the final day static display with race circuit stages on our city based former F1 circuit, featuring old and classic F1 cars, touring cars and other racing formulas...this year including some GP bikes.
Over 700 vehicles involved in both rally and static displays.

Many of the cars are driven on roads as road legal and registered...but they put stickers all over their cars for the festival.
It looks cool.
This is about a quarter of the field, lined up for their turn at one of the rally stages...actually its not even a quarter...

I'd say it looks cooler and more pro/unique than the average bland car we see on the streets everyday.
I love capitalism b/c it's a system that represents freedom do pursue your dreams, equality through natural supply/demand and justice to reward and the hardworking and ambitious.
I mean a worker controlled business can work in capitalism, all they have to do is group up and start the business of their dreams, unlike socialism the high tax and wages, and loads of restriction as a state run economy will only discourage anyone into starting a business and the imbalance of supply and demand between employees and workers will only topple the economy.

What a beautiful boy and a handsome grandpa.
IMO almost nothing is better than simply spending some time and having fun together with your family, especially on such a nice day.
It was a great day...sunny, great vibes...great for all the family, if they are petrolheads.

Herman bro you gotta reduce those alcoholic and red meat intakes before your liver decides to quit on ya, try to stick to fruits and veggies, fish and chicken breast meat instead, whole grain bread and drink up some skimmed milk/yogurt, blue berries, avocados and other food rich in omega3 and antioxidants that fights against aging etc. And like Azhya Aryola always say, try to laugh more or watch a good comedy flick.
Yeah...just like me.
No junk food, no hard liquor, no chocolate, no cake....

Lol those food are so overrated, plus health foods can just taste as good if you're an experienced cook, I mean whole wheat cold Japanese soba noodles dipped in low sodium dashi mixed soy sauce is one of my favorite and quite easy to make. Just add a bit of seaweed and boiled veggies and a egg, even the food the queen of England or the emperor of ancient China eats doesn't get as healthy as this. ac_cool
I snack on carrot and celery sticks through the day but sometimes can't resist dipping them in ranch dressing. Healthy but not completely. The alternative is cankles.
Yours? Or Ferals?
No idea. ac_dunno

To be fair fat is one of the 3 essential nutrient a person needs, so I'd say it's still healthy as long as you keep your fat quotas in check. :smiley_thumbs_up_yellow_ani:

I stick to the basic redneck diet. Plenty of barrel wash, venison smokies over the fire pit, moose steaks, beer and perogies.

As much as how effective it makes you stay in shape and I don't mean any disrespect to the food you eat as a part of your heritage, but depending on one cuisine alone isn't really beneficial. I'm sure you too want to live a long healthy life and stay young like you were before, all that salt, smoked meat and beer is what makes you age faster, and also cause malnutrition. If I have time lemme bring up my dad's diet once he comes back to Canada, his recipes are all catered to only one purpose, to maximize the health of one's life. So far all I know is he eats tons of herbal stuff for breakfast, then in the afternoon he eats some raw ginger, and also boils some oatmeal and only stick to whole wheat bread sandwich, along with some other food, everyday he eats the same thing over and over again for nearly a decade.

I duno would Herman enjoy it since the food my dad eats is really bland, even more tasteless than the Queen's diet, but one thing for sure is it's working for him, currently he's 73 years old and still goes to work, play golf, goes for a run every couple days, lift weights and goes on business trips, etc.

I'll tell you what Brother, you post it and I'll take a look. No promises if I'll follow any of it.
I have made some changes. You have to, to lose over thirty pounds. I drastically cut down on bread. And I am active. You have to be when you own a farm. But, yes, I drink too much.

Lol here are the pros and cons I've summed up between the 2, now I can't seem to decide which one to buy, lol
Egolf vs Model 3
- Better handling - Better Acceleration 0-100km/hr 5sec for model 3, 9.6sec for egolf
- 60% cheaper - 60% more range
- Better looking Interior - Better looking Exterior
- Higher Build QC - Higher quality battery life
- Engine in fronthood - All Wheel Drive
- Lighter body frame - Better safety standard

2018 Hi Lux
Looks pretty sweet, though I'm a bit surprised with gas prices so high you're still into pick ups.
Diesel is better.
I can't be without a ute. Little bubble cars are for city dwelling princesses.
Lol, I need my bubble cars.
If you break down, we can throw your car in the back of my ute. :001_tongue:
Lmao, maybe it would work for the civic type r, but a compact EV and their batteries weight almost 2 tons, lol makes me worried about driving one in the winter with all the snow and net weight and traction issues.
I'm never getting an EV unless PV improves and can be integrated into the body.

2010 Honda Civic Type R, my first dream car. ac_cool Too bad it failed the Canadian safety test and had to settle with the civic hybrid sedan instead, lol.
It failed??? That sux. That thing is insane!!!

Sadly so, I'll dearly miss her 200 horse power engine and not to mention the design is timeless.
Apparently they would give my S2000 a real run for its money...

Until pv can be miniaturized and integrated into a vehicle so that I don't have to rely on regulated power grids, no thanks. Even then, I'd want a fossil fuel hybrid backup on board for when the sun doesn't shine.
Vehicles support freedom to move about. EV's reduce that freedom and feed it back to the State and Corporations.
They got our guns and our wages. They're coming for our vehicles.

But doesn't your S2000 have like 240 horse power, the type R might be fast but it's still just a entry level sports car when compared to the S2000 and the others.
Australia wants too much control, it seems...
It's a barren fucking wasteland, most of it, and with that should come some freedom.
V8 cars, guns, and the ability to live freely, within reason...

Lol dun think solar cars will ever be a possibility, I like the idea of EV b/c it's just dirt cheap energy costing less than 1cent per km, plus as long as there's a wall with a power outlet the EV can be charged up.
You can have your EV slave cars.

Partly but nowhere near what an EV future would bring.
Besides, energy doesn't come from nothing. Industry would shift to fuel power plants and there is only going to be one fuel station, ie the grid, to buy from.
Bad idea.

Lol I think you're worrying too much Dinky, with EVs costing only $1 or less per 100km of travel, I'm sure there's a limit how bad EV users can get exploited. Plus not to mention you never ever have to worry about engine maintenance, filter or an oil change again, and most EVs can last for at least 20 years or drive over 1 million miles.
You think large multinational firms are going to embrace EV and migrate to power generation for an 80% drop in revenue while governments lose out on taxing the hell from petroleum pumps?
You think your non EV household electric bill is steep now, just wait.

I think the Type R has all wheel drive or something that makes it pretty potent around tracks. I really don't know how they'd go head to head, but they're both weapons.

I know this is off topic, but Alberta's carbon tax will increase fifty per cent on January 1..
Meanwhile we are closing down all our coal fired power plants..
We were self sufficient in power production, but soon we'll have to import electricity from neighbouring BC..
Electricity will be very expensive here in the future but will make no difference to climate change..
Anyway, back to cars, when I trade in my Nissan Altima, it won't be an ev we buy..
A Nissan Qashqai is a possibility.

Honda Civic Type R.
Kind of like a Mr. Sweetchuck ride.
