Title: Boxing week madness
Post by: Anonymous on December 26, 2017, 05:03:03 PM
I went to Canadian Tire today with my daughter to buy new Christmas decorations and London  Drugs to buy a Google Home Voice Activated Speaker Assistant..

It was so busy and I didn't  get the exact decorations I hoped to either..

Is anyone else  taking advantage of Boxing week sales?

Nope. Not going to fight those crowds. Not worth it.

I agree. There's nothing I need that badly. It's not worth it.

Not remotely.

I tend to avoid a consumer feeding frenzy.

Are Boxing week sales common in Australia?

Yes...although their appeal is waning. Searching for a car park, fighting the crowds, standing in queues just to save 5 bux isn't what its cracked up to be.

My philosophy is if I have to queue for it, I don't want it.

Canada beat Finland 4-2 at the world juniors today. I would rather watch that on my last day off until the end of March than crowds in frickin stores.

Good for them..

And since pro hockey players aren't allowed to participate in this winter olympics, the same players will be going to South Korea when it's  over.

We went out and bought a new dinette set. We went to a Tommy Hilfiger store. I bought three new shirts. My wife bought a pair of jeans at a Guess store.

With the crowds and traffic, it was a tiring day.

Aint like it use to be. Also they limit the "door busters", as in limited stock on advertised big deals. Aint worth it. Ya got fuckers who swoop in and snag 'em, only to put 'em up on Ebay at a higher cost. The only thing I like to go for is the movies lol.

When I get seasons discount greetings in email, I wait 1-3 weeks. Fuck em. Their discount price and free shipping pledge is crap. I want to see the real price.
