Glad I'm not working today, bracing for up to 20cm of snow today. Got like 2cm Wednesday that turned roads into skating rinks Thursday morning. Lots of fender benders yesterday.

I saw that on the national forecast....it was fourteen in Toronto.

We are catching it now. Larder was empty so mate went shopping before roads get really bad early today as forecast is for it to not end soon

We got about a foot yesterday.   It's pretty.  Thank goodness it stopped so I  an actually drive safely tonight.  Then it can snow tomorrow.  Haha

I stay off the roads when it snows....It's other people who scare me....when it's not snowing, people just kids me off...ive take  a liking to laying on my horn quite often lately...and I'll follow the idiot and lay on the horn for a good solid minute or two..

I don't like it either.  It's like snob central.  But it's easier just to have fun and focus on lo and ignore the crowd when we are out.

I saw that it was -6 in Kelowna a few days ago....that's cold for the Okanagan.

Its been really cold for the last week.  -8 and such....I don't like the cold...its not so bad when it's snowing, it warms up...but after that it freezes...blech

Snow conditions vary, depending on where you live.  Geography and location make a huge difference.



I have traveled around, and even though the West Coast doesn't get hit with much snow, when we do, it can and does bring the city to a standstill...



This snow isn't the light, fluffy stuff you get in colder climates.  It is often heavy, and will compress into pure ice once driven over a few times, as the temps are usually hovering right around the freezing mark..  Add in the fact that hilly terrain is everywhere here, and you have a recipe for disaster.



It is not like driving through a couple inches of light fluff in the flat Prairies...
