By the way...never use regular steel wool on stainless, it adds carbon and can rust. Always use stainless steel wool. Always had to protect stainless parts from touching carbon steel banding. I have had a rejection or two in my 40 years in the steel business due to slight rust on finished surfaces.

Stuff you reuse like that will clean up nicely. Never had a full rejection for rust just had to polish it back up. Besides the chrome and nickel, what makes stainless stainless is low carbon content. If you didn't reuse things and clean them it could pit after a very long time. Oil tool companies don't like rust on their down hole components.

I do know there are many different alloys of 'stainless steel.'  Some attract magnets, and some do not, depending on what they are used for.  Also quality of alloys vary vastly.



People may assume 'stainless steel' is one particular alloy, but they are wrong.



Then again, stainless was never really meant to look 'pretty!'  It is designed to resist corrosion!  A good stainless alloy is often quite 'dull' in appearance...

Agreed, no stainless comes out shiny until it is processed in one form or fashion. They peel or grind bars and brush and polish sheets, all to various finishes. I have dealt with all grades and shapes over the years.

And stainless has historically been very useful in industrial uses, where 'shine and finish' just really don't matter that much.



For some reason the household appliance S/S fad appeared.  And now everything is S/S in our homes.  It is not a 'pretty, shiny' alloy.  It is alloyed to do one thing.



I predict that eventually we will see the return of painted and enameled appliances back in our homes once again.

It's a strange dynamic, Scouse!  You have to remember that Evs, Mimi and I go back a very long time!  We've all modded together, and I've even met her.



You can see that the history is there.



I'll tell you about the exact instant that set this bullshit all in action!    :laugh:



Mimi and Oscar were being their general selves, so I was giving them a hard time, but nothing against the board rules.  Remember, Mimi is/was a Mod there, and is also Oscar's 'protector.'



I received a ban for 'spamming' an image by Mimi, which never actually occurred.  That did not happen.  I don't think Mimi realized at that point that I actually had Modded with her in the past.



I requested Evs to check the logs, as a favour to an ex fellow Mod, just to determine what the fuck was going on.  If someone spammed some images, perhaps the IP and poster logs will show this.  It was a request that would normally be fulfilled by Mods/Admins, as these things are part of their job.



Evs basically told me to fuck off.  So, that set the wheels in motion.  Mimi is a lying cunt, protecting her online losers, and Evs will never make Mimi look bad, since they are friends, and Mimi HATES looking bad!



That pissed me off.  It really did.  And I made that clear to them.



I let it go some time ago though, but as you can see they have not...  Mimi will absolutely NOT converse with me in any way, shape, or form.  Her online boyfriend Oscar is permitted free reign to spam and disrupt, and Evs herself will address me with usually nothing more than, "You drunken retarded FAS sufferer."



This is the behaviour of a forum Administrator, one that I used to work with!



So you see that I do not care, and if they want to run a flame forum as they do, I will roll with that until they ban me, which usually comes quick.  It is of no loss.  Some like to dish it out, but don't like to get it back!



I'm surprised I could post there for as long as I did this time...  Usually the arbitrary bans come quicker.



When the original incident happened, I told Evs to just tell Mimi not to pull that shit ever again, and maybe an apology would forever wipe that 'incident' off the memory maps...  NOPE!



So, in a few weeks, I will be back there...  JUST FOR FUN!   :laugh:   Remember, things are different when you don't care!   :laugh:



Mimi will ignore me.



Oscar will follow me around with his 24/7 spam.

I was in personal contact with Vin before new DV even appeared.  Evs and Mimi didn't even know Vin bought old Snitz DV when we were privately chatting about the format, and the direction.



So you see that my timeline goes right back with Vin, before 'new' DV even appeared.



Evs and Mimi were Mods at Snitz DV at that time, so of course they were slotted into that same position once Vin finally had officially taken over the forum.



The 'creative differences' appeared almost instantly...  Whereas Mike Schwartz would give Mods like Evs and Mimi fairly limited powers, Vinny trusted those two a little too much...  I did warn him.  However, they are both very good at sticking their fucking noses into places where they do not belong, and they thrive on that.  Real Woman was no different.



Eventually over time Evs suckled Vinny into giving her Admin status there...  Big mistake.  Not long after I pulled the plug on my Mod status there, since I was frustrated with almost everything there from an operational standpoint, and could clearly see what was happening.



Not long after, the entire database is gone, DV as we knew it was gone, and low and behold Evs and her partner Mimi have their very own forum ready to go!

I wanted to fucking strangle that uppity cunt Mimi already back then in the secret "Mod Forum.'  But I couldn't...  I kept my yap shut every fucking time that cunt would complain about something else, or use some more fucking smilies like a whore flashes her ass over and over...  I kept my composure though.



Evs wasn't so bad back then, but she has changed now.  Old and angry.  Nonetheless, they have always been good friends offline, and to disagree with one is to disagree with the other!



The creative differences have always been relatively simple, IMHO...  I wanted to retain Snitz DV style forum experience, whereas Mimi and Evs (and Real Woman also), wanted to attempt to create a private 'FaceBook Style' little safe space for only their 'good friends' to post freely...



I've seen it before, and I'll see it again.  No, Real Woman, I will NOT Skype with you, just so your online E-Boyfriend Kreeper won't ban me!  (which he did!)



I don't give up easily.  Freedom of expression and simply being was at the core of what made Snitz DV the place that it was...  That garnered it a fairly large reach worldwide at that time, believe it or not...

Either way, I used to check when my regular arbitrary bans retire there.  I do not anymore.



The last ban was the topper, and Evs and Mimi can have their anti-white, left-leaning posters there run the show now.  



It's not so much that Evs is like that (historically she hasn't been), but what Mimi wants, Mimi gets!  And Mimi is the most hypocritical, lying piece of shit poster that you'll ever meet.  A fucking snake.



Let her surround herself with the little challenged retards that she keeps protected under her skirt, if that makes herself feel better.  She's always wanted her very own forum, has always been hungry for ultimate control over her online surroundings (often wonder why she needs that), so now she can have it!  With smilies and all!

This is the reason I may be suspicious...  Vin wasn't an idiot, at least not on the technical side.  He paid money to Mikey Schwartz for Snitz DV, and that cost was essentially for the database of content.
