Not eating a meal through a straw? Well, unless you count the liquid diet I'll be on that day lol.

Well, to start, I'll hit the parade, its the largest St. Patrick's day parade in the Mid-Atlantic region. Then I'll get a Lucky Leprechaun burger from the local beer and burger joint. It has burger, corned beef, swiss, saurkraut, spicy mustard on it, and I dont usually like saurkraut. Then I'll wander around checking out the vendors, hanging out with friends, listening to music, drinking lol. Eventually get some Irish nachos and green beer from this one place and listen to bagpipes, and eventually wind up back at my place at some point that evening, to finish out drinking Irish whiskey til I pass out

Lol, no not Sunday, on Saturday the city holds the festivities. Roanoke Virginia. They shut down most the streets but its a small city. LOT of turnout usually. Parade usually goes for an hour and a half.

I love it! Hell I found there is a local Irish Jam Session at a local pub once a week here, I went this week, and there were 2 bagpipers, 3 on fiddle, 3 on flute, one on drum, a mandolin, and 2 banjos. Sounded good. I cant wait til Saturday, when the Pipes and Drums kick in and come marching down the street.

Right on man! And I would join ya!  ac_drinks

Yeah once I park downtown, everything is within walking distance for me too, and I'll be down there a while. I can only afford so much anyway, so that helps with pacing myself lolol. But I'll prolly have 6-8 drinks within the 6-8 hours I'll be down there. I'll stop an hour or so before having to drive, and I'll be going somewhere else I'll have to pace myself at. Then I'll eventually wind up back home, where I wont have to pace myself

Happy St. Patrick's day tomorrow man, hope you have fun!

Same for all you Cashews! Dont just sit around the house this weekend, partake in merry making with friends, even if it doesnt involve alcohol

Btw, on iTunes radio, there is a couple Celtic channels I listen to, check 'em out. Im sure other apps prolly have some similar stations too.

But I am swift and agile! Remember what happened to Chuck Norris when he went up against Bruce Lee!

I am frickin jealous. I wish I could go to a few bars tomorrow. I am stuck here in a wellsite trailer beside a service rig for the next two weeks minimum and probably three weeks before I can go to my farm in Saskatchewan until next December. The old lady and I are going to the Dominican Republic for a week after that.  ac_drinks

I quit drinking fourteen years ago. But, I will be home about four or five am tomorrow. My wife and I are thinking about going to a pub that will have really good Irish stew on the menu. It took a lot of years of sobriety for me to be able to go in a bar without getting the urge to drink. Maybe Sunday before my next trip I'll order a Shamrock shake from McDonald's. :yahoo:

OK.

So, I am confused. Why is a southern boy, and a Korean-Canadian celebrating an Irish Saint?

I probably have more Irish blood in me than you guys...and none showed up in my DNA test!!!

No.

Vodka is purified and filtered so it has NO baddies in it.

In fact, vodka KILLS bacteria.

It is a health additive.

I am mostly Irish lol, you forget Im in the Appalachian Mountains. I have a pic of my family from the late 1800s, and in it is my great great great great grandfather, and his father (as far back as I can trace) is the one from Ireland, from what Im told. Though I do believe we are Scotts Irish.

I have nothing to contribute. I don't drink and I am not a fan of green. I'm sure it was fun for those who took part.
