If not, here's all you need to know.

If you are, DON'T be late.

Guests are expected to be seated 30 minutes before the ceremony, and there are NO toilet breaks.

I never received a formal invitation..

I guess Windsor Castle doesn't have my email address.

I can just imagine the round table discussion the elders had when they found out what Harry had dragged in...  Surprised they didn't outright put a stop to it!

Who the fuck cares. The house of Windsor is made up of ugly, spoiled brat imbeciles. I have about as much respect for them as I do Pamela Anderson.

The royal family is a part of British culture though.

Most of the band members are neo-Marxists. Its a political act, not a musical one.

No.  But I think it's appalling to ask the tax payers to pay for such a lavish wedding.

If you knew how many things tax dollars are wasted on, a wedding is nothing but a drop in the bucket...

They love it...mostly.

British people believe in the monarchy as symbolic of their national pride, heritage, history and traditions. British people are very much enmeshed in tradition at both the macro and micro level. Sunday is roast day, for example...because that's traditional.

The monarchy represents stability and an assurance that their traditions live on. Its a powerful symbol. So powerful, even Australia adopts the monarchy as its head of State, a situation that needs to be changed.

Many countries envy the British monarchy, because it somehow combines with the Westminster model of democracy to provide a stable government.

I don't know about Green Day...I can't get past their awful music.

Peter Garrett was an extreme lefty, but sold out to join the socialist party and was appointed a Minister.

He was one of the worst Ministers in our history, and that is saying something, to absolutely no-one's surprise.

And what was his profession before he shaved his head and sang in a band, I hear you ask?

Lawyer.

Most artists either swing left, or pretend to swing left.  Those that lean right simply won't mention it in their music these days, or in interviews, as they'd be made an 'outcast'...

QuoteImmigrants and faggots

They make no sense to me

They come to our country

And think they'll do as they please

Like start some mini-Iran

Or spread some fucking disease

And they talk so many God damn ways

It's all Greek to me

Axl Rose, years later, had some explaining to do regarding these lyrics...  Of course when he wrote this song in the 1980's, you could still get away with it.  That quickly changed though in the 1990's...

The cost of the wedding will be $45.8 million and it will add $1.43 billion to the British economy.

Better question is, why would the elders permit this?  No doubt she was not 'approved' during the 'round table emergency meeting,' but I suppose times change and maybe they thought it not fitting to interfere these days?

Because I am married, with one stay at home daughter, I had to sit through an hour of absolute banal, overhyped, irrelevant, pompous and elitist crap.

I'm not against royalty in the UK, and I hope the kid finds happiness after an awful start in life losing his mother so young. But to watch primped up movie stars (George Clooney) daft sportsmen (David Beckham, Wayne Rooney) and of course Elton John stroking each other whilst wearing painted on smiles as their partners displayed brand new, wear-it-once-only dresses bought for the occasion, I was staggered that every public broadcast channel was drooling over the whole affair. Oh, and Elton's partner wasn't wearing a dress.

Nauseatingly pointless congregation of worthless "celebrities", fringe royals and the idle rich, reminding everyone that "Class" is still a thing in England.
