Does he live near Da Nang? I was ferried in and out of Da Nang for three years. I felt I couldn't go home and I couldn't stay on base so I volunteered for everything that was offered. I got what wanted, rations twice a day and mung-foot (trench-foot, foot-rot) from our wet boots and a chance to practice what I had learned.

It was eight weeks in-country and two weeks off. The two weeks on R&R were rougher and more dangerous than Charlie. I once saw a prostitute in  Ho' Phong take a man's eye out with a fork over $2. Greed and hatred turn a man towards a book.

Where is the sanity? There isn't any.

Turn towards

Luke 27-28

At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."  the good word.

Back in the day, the girls were around $6 for a night and beer was around $0.15 a bottle so an Operator's pay of $68 a day went very, very far. The stuff that went on was crazy but we were young.

I rather like the welcome threads. It gives a newcomer a sense of welcoming, you all get to meet him/her and every time someone joins, there's a new thread and more excitement!

I feel sorry that it was removed, but I don't have an explanation as to why it happened.
