Title: Food cravings
Post by: Superchecker on June 15, 2018, 04:26:31 PM
Been craving decent Canadian style Chinese food for weeks... Chicken chow mein, boneless pork, and almond chicken.

We're down to just one local Chinese restaurant, and have been disappointed more than once.

Tried a different place today, and was pleasantly surprised! Left overs for dinner!! I think we have our new source!

Do you get food cravings?

I live south of the city, and our Hong Kong Inn closed about 2 years ago now.

Mings has disappointed us more than a few times.

Mamma Panda changed to U Wok, the quality went down, and they have been closed for weeks **(mice?)**

There's Chink food all over here, Checker.  Look around, dude...  Yellow is the new White.

I get a craving for Chink once in a while.  Luckily there are two decent places a five minute drive from me, where I can get my Chink on.

Keep hearing how great the food is at the night market, but haven't been there in years.

They don't have the bargains like Taiwanese nightmarkets do.

I heard it's not that great.  I also saw a ridiculous article trying to vamp it up saying it was the biggest and the best in the world.  I would think Taiwan is better.

As for food cravings, I've been craving tacos all year so far...ita driving me nuts...I like extra lettuce and sour cream.

I have been having a hankering for raspberries lately.

Everyone likes tacos!  It's just hard to find a restaurant that makes good ones.  Usually the best way is to make them yourself, which I occasionally do, but I'll be honest...  when just cooking for one, it's always more difficult.  Always end up with too much leftovers and waste.

Berries are good.  Just returned from the grocery store with a mixed berry fruit 'bowl,' among other things...

It's  good, but Taiwan is better and because of competition is better value for money.
