Some progressives are decent well intentioned (but misguided) people, but among the ranks they are becoming proportionally fewer all the time. The ones in control are constantly becoming more ideologically extreme, and their tactics are always escalating. they seem to think their hatred of trump justifies the most extreme, ugly, violent and threatening behavior. For the most part the conservative side has played by the rules and not fought back with the same ugly methods, but if the left continues on the road they are on, that restraint won't last forever.

I was under the impression that the baker had no problem making a cake for them but he wasn't going to decorate it in a gay wedding manner. That would have been left to the couple to do.
If Sanders and her family were wearing Maga hats, talking in public about Trump or conservative values while at the restaurant, I could see why the owner might take umbrage with them. As it stands, they don't appear to have done anything like that and were just there to eat as a family.
I don't see any similarities between the two happenings.
The baker wasn't spiteful. The restaurant owner was.

Just over the weekend, I was thinking of how West Virginia and Virginia divided. In Virginia, up north, its become liberal mania the way I understand it, and all the jobs went there. We are poor down here in SW Virginia, and so is West Virginia. Maybe another divide needs to happen, make it West Virginia and East Virginia, still 2 states. Even though West Virginia allied themselves with the North back in the day, these days they seem more South, especially vs the ones in Northern Virginia.

If Sanders and her family were wearing Maga hats, talking in public about Trump or conservative values while at the restaurant, I could see why the owner might take umbrage with them. As it stands, they don't appear to have done anything like that and were just there to eat as a family.
I don't see any similarities between the two happenings.
