Whilst it was patchy on Islay...the weather overall was amazingly good, with warm sunshine that they called a "heatwave" in the UK.
Scotland was a bit cloudy at times...but also had some sunshine as you'll see in other pics.
The Brits were carrying on about their "heat"...25C to 29C. We loved it. Not a drop of rain for the last 2 weeks of our trip, but they're hurting a bit now. Its very dry, and crops are looking a bit said. We even saw irrigation pumps on some farms.

I took my mirrorless SLR. Very light and compact, and easy to hold firm compared to full frame SLR's.
No way I could lug my DSLR through those mountains.
