Dr. Richard Schneider of the U of A predicts a temperature rise over the next 100 years of 2C up to 6.5C "depending on the model used". All computer models of climate are based on assumptions and SWAG(scientific wild-assed guesses).
For example, it is assumed that the increase of C02 in the atmosphere,(0.0085% since 1959) will cause an increase in water vapour, (the most important "greenhouse gas") and clouds which will amplify the heating effect of C02, (a positive feedback). In fact, the amount of water vapour in the atmosphere has been decreasing since measurements were started in 1949. Whether clouds exert a positive or negative feedback is not known (though a negative feedback seems more likely.) Computer models of climate are pure fantasy. I would rather place my trust in actual measurements such as an absence of global warming for the last 16 years, 8 months and counting.
