A 12-year-old girl was able to revive her 2-year-old brother after he was found unresponsive in the family's septic tank late Wednesday morning in Edgewood, according to East Pierce Fire & Rescue.
Their mother was able to get the boy out of the septic tank but got stuck in the process, so the girl called 911, East Pierce Fire Chief Bud Backer said. It is unclear how long the boy was in the tank or how he got in there.
Firefighters were dispatched about 11:10 a.m. to the home in the 1900 block of Meridian Avenue East, and dispatchers instructed the girl on how to give CPR to her brother. The boy was conscious by the time medics arrived, Backer said.
"The fact that his 12-year-old sister was so dialed in, they were saying, 'Chief, you need to keep track of her. 10 years from now, you need to give her a job,'" Backer said. "She was very in control and followed directions to a 'T,' and saved her brother's life in the process."

Her parents raised a great kid.
If she gets a real job because of this instead of becoming a cop, I'll be beaming with delight.
Would you mind trying a new tactic...you're being boring.
Not a tactic to speak my truth.
YOUR truth is relevant to you.
No-one else.
You cannot cope with authority. We get it. Now change the damn record.
Authoritarians can't cope with people like me.

Son, you whining malcontents are a dime a dozen.
There are thousands like you in any university.
And then they grow up.
You just missed that one important step.

I agree, it's getting old in a hurry.
Man it looks like she's already more qualified and dependable than a lot of grown ups these days.

A lot of adults would not have the courage to do what she did.

I couldn't agree enough with you Fash, while the world is currently filled entitled welfare trash, rich snobs and intollerant lefties, it's nice to know 12 year old girl just saved his brother from a septic tank. :smiley_thumbs_up_yellow_ani:

Tbh I dun expect most people to successfully learn and execute CPR through the phone, for the first time and being a child, or trying to revive a baby instead of an adult requires more skills due to the delicate small lungs and soft ribcage, not to mention her baby brother drowned in a septic tank. But at least it shouldn't be hard to be inspired by this young girl. While this girl is blessed with courage, intelligence, and the will power to succeed, Dinky should open the dictionary and find out the definition of words like honor, respect, integrity and gratitude, etc.
