I worked with a woman who felt she was entitled to 50% of her ex's assets because she felt trapped in a loveless marriage of her choosing for over 30 years.
Thing is, she actually got it and more. The ex gave her his retirement savings as well so she got way more than 50% even though she admitted that he was a good provider and a faithful husband.
