Tragedy followed the teacher. His wife, Cat Diamond, drowned last October.
Using surveillance footage police discovered the victim left his home at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday. About 20 minutes later, he is seen visiting an ATM ,where he withdrew a large sum of cash, the News said.
Once he withdrew the money, he returned home and took his dog, Lulu, for her evening walk. It was the last time Ryan was seen on surveillance footage and the last time he was seen alive.
Cops believe it's possible the man may have been murdered while he walked his dog in Zhongzheng Riverside Park, where his body was discovered Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, Ryan was arrested last March in a drug case but he further fell afoul of cops when he was required to submit a urine sample. Instead, he used tap water.
And things didn't get any easier after the March incident.
In May, Taipei cops found a number of foreigners in possession of marijuana at a popular nightclub and Ryan was fingered as the source and arrested.
Investigators believe his murder may be tied to the illicit drug trade. But it also may have been a simple case of robbery.
Between Aug.20 and Aug. 21, he had withdrawn about C$4,241 yet no cash was found on his body or in his house, police say.

New Taipei district prosecutors ordered the extended detention of an American national and a Taiwanese man after interrogating the two suspects, believing if released they could concoct a bogus alibi or flee.
The Canadian victim was identified as Ramgahan Sanjay Ryan, 43, who resided in New Taipei's Yonghe District. His dismembered torso was discovered on a riverbank under Zhongzheng Bridge in the district Wednesday.
Ryan's limbs and head have since been recovered from the Xindian River, where police recovered an arm and foot on Saturday.
New Taipei police said Saturday they and district prosecutors organized a special investigative team soon after the torso was discovered, beginning efforts to collect evidence and relevant CCTV footage.
After a search of the crime scene, police found two machetes, which based on a tentative comparison of the wounds to the torso they believe are likely the murder weapons, though that has yet to be confirmed by forensic examination, said Lin Chen-jui (林振瑞), an investigation division chief at Yonghe Police Precinct at a press briefing on Saturday.
Police traced the sale of the machetes to a hardware store in Taipei's Wanhua District and a Taiwanese man surnamed Wu (吳) on Aug. 18, Lin said.
They then identified the American suspect with evidence from eyewitnesses, CCTV footage, communication records and satellite positioning data, which confirmed he was in the vicinity, Lin said.
On Friday police apprehended the American national and Wu, Lin said, adding that police are still searching for a third suspect who remains at large.
Tabloid Apple Daily reported Sunday that the American suspect is Ewart Odane Bent, 30, and the Taiwanese was identified as 21 year-old Wu Hsuan (吳宣). Both men have denied any involvement in the crime, the report said.
However, initial results from the investigation indicate the homicide was planned in advance, with the suspects believed to have been acquaintances of Ryan. Wu is believed to have purchased the machetes and given them to the American suspect to commit the crime, according to police.
Police believe that knowing Ryan often walked his dog in the area, the suspects laid in wait in the riverbank area where they ambushed the victim. Police also believe the place where Ryan's torso was found was also where he was killed.
However, police have yet to determine a motive for the crime, whether Ryan was chained before being killed and how many people were involved in the murder, they said.
At the Saturday press briefing, Lin said police have identified another suspect and issued an order preventing the person leaving the country until interviewed and cleared of involvement.
Lin added that the American national has denied any involvement in the crime while Wu admitted to buying the machetes and giving them to the American but said he had no knowledge of what they were used for.

Friends of my grandparents had a kid that was killed too, for getting involved in risky shit doing risky things with risky people. They shot him through the front window of his house when he got up to answer the phone. One shot, sniper style. Immediate death.
The cops never did find who was responsible, but knowing he was a bad apple involved in bad shit, I doubt the cops tried too hard to solve the case either...

Well, that's simply not true. There's some excellent interviews of Bobby Fischer on Youtube and he does not hold back in exposing his tribe's crimes. David Cole is another one, he debunked the gas chambers myth in concentration camps during WW2. He actually had to go into hiding after receiving numerous death threats.
I am saying that cc distrusts a religion and or ideology based on the written word of that ideology..

I don't recall ever discussing Ezra Levant, again he is someone I'm not familiar with. It looks as though he's another Zionist, so no it's very unlikely I would support him because these people focus their efforts entirely on Islam and ignore everything else. They also demonise White Nationalism because Jews on either side of the political spectrum hate the thought of white solidarity. They want us in a constant state of disarray and turmoil because it makes ruling over us much easier.

I was quite surprised to find 3% Jew. Now, I also bought my Uncle a DNA kit as a gift, and from his results I can state that most of that 3% came from my biological Fathers side, who was blonde/blue from Denmark/Scandinavia. About 1% would have come from my Mothers side, which more precisely I would assume was in there from the Eastern Euro percentage...

Even had people in Scandinavia email me because the DNA matched theirs.

You won't do a DNA test because it would expose your Jewish heritage and prove that what I've suspected about you all along is in fact true.
As I said, if you agreed to take a test, I would too. Afterall, why not attempt to prove that what I have said about you is mistaken? Otherwise it just looks as though you are trying to hide something.
