lol I gotta admit it does raises an eyebrow now that you've mentioned it, the stuff I've mention were just mostly nasty harmful products sold in the Chinese market, and this is why I'm really hesitant to buy mainland Chinese brand goods lol.

Most of our "Chinese" stuff comes from Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

It's kinda sad people will go to such extreme deception to kill someone, but then that's Chinese for ya, most of China's culture was shape by 2 famous figures, the supreme tactician Sun Tzu and the grand scholar Confucius.
