Title: If I were an American...
Post by: Bricktop on September 27, 2018, 11:46:11 PM
This Kavanaugh fiasco would be scaring the crap out of me.

That politics has stooped so low as to initiate a "hearing" over a matter 30 plus years ago that was not reported then, and therefore must be seen as spurious at best, simply to disrupt the decision of an elected President sets a precedent that, if followed to its logical conclusion, will fragment America, probably irreparably.

Political ideology will divide the nation, at a time when unity and working as a single nation was never more urgent.

That said, I take no comfort from NOT being American. The is the new normal. Choose your weapons and pick your enemies. Democracy will become the catchword for civil collapse.

I agree. What's happening is dangerous.

Irreversibly so. I fear the damage has already been done, and we can thank socialist extremism, and the refusal of leftists to accept any form of conservative government will set us on a path which, as Kavanuagh said, will cause those in the future to reap the wind they've initiated.

Nothing good will come of this.

What's happening to Kavanaugh is BECAUSE of democracy in the public cesspool. America is a Republic. If that Republic was still functioning, there wouldn't be these spurious claims on media by politicians and msm pundits. There would have to be actual proof and the ability of the accused to refute in an educated citizenry who in turn elected reps to complete their election promises.

America is a cnt of a nation. It should just die already and take its stupid five eyes nation compadres down with it because it's do as I say, do as we do, don't do what we do and say to you. Yet trust us. We mean well for you but better for us.

The West is completely broken and from within.

Get me off of this fcking stupid rock.

I've seen capable professional men over the last 5 years have their female opposition in the job interviews invoke the feminist clause and get through on a quarter or even tenth of what the male was experienced and accredited for.

If it were just Kavanaugh that would be one thing, but it goes way further.  The whole way the democrats behaved through the entire charade.  The way the FBI was politicized to give Hillary a pass and to try to get Trump.  the ridiculous russia investigation with no evidence.  The way maxine waters called for harassing of public officials and the way they are being harassed.  Antifa beating people in the streets.  and democrat calls for opening the borders and normalizing illegal immigration. And of course the utter contempt for free speech on the left.

In a representative democracy if one side gets extreme violent and crazy, the people are supposed to punish them by taking their power away.  But somehow that process has been short circuited.

You have to remember the west has always evolved together.  The right for women to vote all hit around the 1900s withing about 20 years of each other  the right for gays to get married all within 10 years or so of each other and so many other trends.  This cancerous totalitarian leftism will affect all western countries, its just a question of how long for each.

It is a global phenomenon...and its mission is to disrupt and disenfranchise non-leftists.

This one is kinda off topic, but I swear something needs to been done, at least the 2 murders shouldn't be allowed to be bailed for just a petty $25,000.

And I'll just bet those guns were owned "legally".

But it shows the mentality that is eroding America...and a glimpse into the future if things don't change.

That's the thing I never understand about Americans, in general I gotta say they're really nice, hardworking, professional and shockingly civil, but when it comes to guns their society is nothing but a depressing freak show filled with gun nuts.   ac_unsure

Sadly what happened was not fabricated, unfortunately the guy died when he arrived to the hospital, and the 2 so called tough guys were released with only a 25,000 bail.  :oeudC:

Damn is right, unless there's a very good reason and more to the story, I can't find much words to say except how stupid and sad this is... I mean even cops aren't allow to shoot a suspect as long as they don't have a gun or something similar.  First few times I've feel sad from reading the news.  ac_unsure

No, I mean an actual murder on youtube. It must be trying to compete with Bestgore.

It staggers me that people who display that kind of mentality are permitted to have firearms.

I guess they were "defending" themselves.

Tbh I was kinda surprised too it wasn't removed on youtube, guess it wasn't too graphical, but still pretty sad to see someone getting shot and killed over something so petty.

That video is crime scene evidence. I have never seen anything like it on youtube.

There is a lesson to be learned here.

Never taunt an obvious whackjob holding a gun. It will never end well.

Sad and tragic as it may have been, it looked more a case of two fools meeting. The victim could have simply walked away, and if they really did pull a gun on his kid, call the cops.

Challenging a man with a gun is like taunting a lion. It doesn't HAVE to kill you, but it can only take so much.

I couldn't agree enough, despite we can't bring the dead back to life, but at least more lives would be saved b/c of this.  Lets just hope this video would teach the young and naïve a thing or 2 on what to do in these kind of situations, and give people a reason to stop encouraging this gun madness.

You can't see it in the video but apparently the big guy in orange had been handed a baseball bat later in the whole episode.  I don't know for sure if that's true, because the video does not show him beyond a certain point.

I'm not blaming him, but I really wish he had just gone inside and called the cops.  if so the gunmen would have been arrested for pulling guns on him and been headed to jail and he would still be alive.  very unfortunate.

If that's the case it does changes the story some way, though the shooting can still be avoided in a few ways by simply keeping a distance or firing a warning shot first, but then people will always be stupid especially when both sides are just angry, spewing threats and making little rational sense.   ac_unsure

Guns are objects. They don't possess the ability to reason. People hysterically focus on the object and not the person utilizing it.

The advice should be amended to 'don't reason with off people with objects in their hands'

Has never worked before. Off people and objects are plentiful. Inevitably the sane people are prevented from using a object against an off person with an object.
