If the media would stop bringing up racism every five minutes it just might disappear.

Alan Arkin, Oscar-Winning 'Little Miss Sunshine' Actor, Dead at 89

">

Alan Arkin, the Academy Award and Tony Award-winning actor, has died at 89.

His death was confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively by his sons Adam, Matthew and Anthony, who jointly offered a statement on the family's behalf: "Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. A loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed."

Most recently, Arkin costarred in The Kominsky Method for Netflix alongside Michael Douglas, earning Emmy nominations in 2019 and 2020, and Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations in 2020 and 2021. In Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Arkin played Edwin Hoover, the grandfather of the dysfunctional family. His role — which only spanned 14 minutes of screen time — earned him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Arkin's memorable turn in the 2012 Ben Affleck-directed political drama Argo earned him his fourth Oscar nomination. He played veteran producer Lester Siegel, whose sharp sense of humor and biting line delivery won over audiences.

His son, Adam Arkin, 66, is also a well-known actor and director who has starred on TV hits including Chicago Hope, 8 Simple Rules and Sons of Anarchy.

A row of electric semi-trucks caught fire early Friday morning in Phoenix.

The fire broke out at a Nikola facility near 40th Street and Broadway Road and dozens of firefighters were called out to fight the blaze.

Four trucks caught fire during the incident.

Phoenix Fire Department officials are asking the public to avoid the area due to the nature of the fire. There is a risk of the fires reigniting because they involve battery cells.

Officials say the trucks that caught fire were shut down and not operational at the time. It's not known what caused them to catch fire.

The US Navy's acoustical detection system recorded what they believe to be it imploding right around the time communications were lost.

They should have just said so at the start instead of dragging everyone along with a false hope. Stuff like this is why I don't trust the media.

Best case scenario - The hull ruptured on the initial dive killing everyone instantly.

Worst case scenario - They lost power, drifted to the bottom and sat there until it finally imploded days later.

Guess we'll never know.

Daniel Ellsberg, the whistleblower who leaked the "Pentagon Papers" about the Vietnam War — changing public perceptions of the conflict — died on Friday, his family announced. He was 92.

Ellsberg was a military analyst when he released thousands of documents to U.S. media in 1971 that revealed successive United States administrations had lied to the public about the Vietnam war.

The 7,000 classified pages determined that, contrary to the public assertions of U.S government officials, the conflict was unwinnable.

The leak was recounted in the 2017 Hollywood thriller "The Post," which detailed the nail-biting behind-the-scenes story of the papers' publication.

Ellsberg announced in March that doctors had told him on February 17 that he had terminal pancreatic cancer and only around six months to live.

"He was not in pain, and was surrounded by loving family," his wife and children said in a statement announcing his death.

People reacted with shock after all three contestants on an episode of the long-running "Jeopardy!" quiz show were apparently stumped by an elementary Bible knowledge-related question.

None of the three players rang in to respond when host Mayim Bialik presented a clue that read, "MATTHEW 6:9 SAYS, 'OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN', THIS 'BE THY NAME.'"

After the apparently clueless contestants failed to offer a response, Bialik supplied the answer: "Hallowed be thy name."

How do these idiots get on Jeopardy? They were all stumped by last night's question too -

- He debuted on TV in 1967; the show's creator wanted someone from behind the Iron Curtain to be on "our side"

I knew the answer right off of course -

What democrat idiots don't realize is all this court stuff is only serving to make Trump appear even more badass than he already is. If he does somehow go to prison his street cred will go through the roof. Nobody is going to support feeble old Joe over Badass Don.

George Soros confirmed that he is handing control of his $25 billion empire to his son – Alexander Soros. The son – who stresses that he is "more political" than his father – plans to continue funneling billions to leftwing causes and politicians.

He could do so much good with that money but instead he's going to continue spreading unrest and degeneracy just like his fuckhead father. They should both be eliminated for the good of humanity.
