Let me clear the air here.

I pulled the insurance off my truck a couple of months ago, and it's parked.  Dealing with both my parents death was/is a time consuming affair.  I parked it, and told my clients I'll be back.  I couldn't juggle everything all at once, and towards the end, I was on the verge of a stress-induced breakdown.

That doesn't matter to me, since I will always have work here, running my rig.

The problem now, is...  Is do I want to remain here, or move to the Okanagan?

I can buy outright now, a place that would work for me in the Okanagan...  The issue is, I've made many connections here with my work, and will always find work here.  I'm good at what I do.

There, I am not amongst familiar clients.  The construction companies are different.  The foremen are different.  The other owner/ops, company drivers are different.  The rates are different.

Trust me!  Even though I grew up in the sunny Okanagan every summer, I may be treated as an "outsider," if you will, with my work!  I'm not joking!

I have to decide, through various decisions here, what would be the best solution, long term.

I'm not that bad when I have a significant other around.

I'm sure I can speak for others also...  Alone?  Too much consumption.

It is a well known fact that single people die (on average) well before couples do.  I can understand why!

Quote from: "Annie"I'm going to a festival with my daughter and watching some fireworks. What are you doing, Mel?

I cruised in my 4.6...  With my ragtop down so my hair can blow!

I should've spent the extra and bought a good used 2011 5.0! 4.6 doesn't even work with Vanilla Ice rap!  :sneaky2:

All in all, I kept a low profile, for the most part, and stayed out of trouble.  That is a highlight for me...  Just trying to stay outta trouble!

Twenty Dollars speaks quite highly of "free trade, and free market."

Twenty Dollars is also enjoying the lifestyle he is, due to his Union pension from his employer.

Twenty Dollars should not forget, that if the "free market" truly dictated wages and benefits, he wouldn't have the same retirement as he does now...

For the record, I voted Conservative.  They won in my riding, but that's just 'cause we're still White here.  Not a fan of them, but the lesser of three evils.

Lots of flack from friends, but I don't care.

Now the same ones are complaining about Truedough!  Laughable.

Quote from: "RW"I know it's just Canada and all but have a Happy Canada Day.  We can all celebrate by singing our recently PCized national anthem...

...Our home and native land

True patriot love

In all of us command...

What shit!  Well, women and minorities always get their way!  Seemingly from fat old White male frogs that are trying to gain votes...

QuoteIn May 2016, Liberal MP Mauril BĂ©langer introduced a private member's Bill C-210 to change two words in "O Canada". These proposed changes are said to make the anthem more gender-neutral by changing the words "thy sons" to "of us". In June 2016, the bill passed its third reading with a vote of 225 to 74 in the House of Commons.

That's OK though.  The White male hasn't been quite beat down enough...  There will be more to come!

Quote from: "chuck wagon"do you still pay for a full hour

I was married to her, and treated her VERY well from a "financial" viewpoint...

So yes, not only did I pay for the full hour, but you could probably add a few hundred hours on top of that when all figures are calculated!

Quote from: "Renee"I never understood the whole drinking age thing......what the hell is the difference between 20 and 21 or 19 for that matter?

Nothing, really.

In Canada, an adult is considered an adult at age 18, for all intents and purposes.  Same in the US.  Can serve in war, will be sentenced as adult in law, etc.

Yet cannot buy a drink?  Well, in some Provinces here, it's still 18 (the Federal minimum), the rest it's 19.  So, it's not that bad here, but still some Provinces have decided to add one year to the Federal minimum age.

It really doesn't make any sense, and how this could ever pass law is beyond me.

Then she's my kind of woman!  I can only last five, maybe 10 minutes tops.

No wonder my ex disliked me!

Quote from: "Odinson"Maintaining a new Audi fucking kills you.

300euros for a simple light-bulp exchange..

Exactly!  I would never purchase a German car, even though I could, simply for this reason alone.  Regular maintenance will quickly drain the cash flow!

The Mustang will hopefully not provide me with any surprises...  Pretty "low-tech" design, and parts should be common enough to keep costs reasonable!

Quote from: "Renee"Okay Mel, you and RW can yak it up.

I have to go pee, and then I'm gonna go thumb-up some music on Pandora.

Have fun.

Oh Geez, thanks Mom!

Make it sound like I'm some sort of forum terrorist or something!

Enjoy you're tunes.  I like tunes also.  Post some tunes.  I may post some also.
