You've already introduced yourself, so I won't ask you to do that again..

I look forward to getting to know you and any other posters from TRF who decide to register here.

I appreciate that. Thanks! And I'll let my fellow The Rock Factory posters know. I certainly hope that's the TRF you are talking about.

Third Rail Forum..

What should I call you? Lance?

How about a fart in church.

That's would be quite a long name. Though, one would have to say the name real fast to make it sound Thai.

Well NASA said it was a little more than 200 light years from the moon as the crow flies.

Quote from: "LanceForgetYou"Hello there. I'm pretty new here. So I was wondering if some of you nice people would tell who it's safe to communicate with, and the not so safe posters.

My name is Jenna and I'm from the Bay Area in California. I'm 26 years old and I was just seeing what this forum had to offer. It's my hopes that I will find engaging conversation and enlightenment within myself.

I look forward to meeting you all.

Hello and welcome LanceForgetYou..

All of the posters here are safe to communicate with.

Oh good. I was really wary that people would think it was weird that I communicate with people I've never met, and that I have this thing about older people...i. e. anyone over the age of 30. I know, I know, I'll be that old someday but it's a weird phobia I have. I know it's silly because I think anyone aged 40 is ancient.

I'm  ancient.

Really? Because your avatar has you looking like a spry young girl.

She's lying. She's really a 23 yo self made multi millionaire who divides her time between here and biomedical engineering research, negotiating long term peace between Iran and Saudi Arabia and ending static cling.

Now if she could invent a ray gun to zap drivers that drive slow in the fast lane would be radical.

On tomorrow's to do list.

What was on today's list?

Whilst some MAY be worthy, most are of the ilk of Caskur, and wasn't she a treasure?

I'm from TRF, what seems to be the problem? I didn't come in here dragging my knuckles or "flaming" anyone. What seems to be your problem?

I smell a loser  :negative:

Or you could be "smelling" your creativity when it comes to forum names. Was George Washington already taken?

We're all down with AARP and fart dust. Youre probably better off on Tinder

That's cool. Naw, I don't like "tinder", too many old people, plus I'm not looking to buy prepackaged oranges.

A recent inquiry into home ownership in Great Britain should serve as a warning to Canadians.

The two-year investigation, chaired by a former Conservative cabinet minister, found that home ownership among Britain's millennials is in crisis.

In many parts of the U.K., the ownership rate among 25- to 34-year-olds is half what it was in the 1980s, dropping from around 50 per cent to around 25 per cent. In outer London, only 16 per cent of millennials own their own home, down from 53 per cent among the same age group in 1984.

(And that's despite the fact that British homebuyers, much like their Canadian counterparts, are getting plenty of help from their parents with the down payment.)

Britain's millennials are spending more on housing, facing longer commutes and living in smaller spaces than their parents at the same age, the investigation found.

Policymakers in Canada should take note. The situation here is not nearly as dire, but with house prices soaring in many parts of the country over the past decade, Canada now runs the risk of seeing a similar phenomenon take place.

The 2016 census found that, for the first time in decades, Canada's homeownership rate is declining — albeit from record highs. The survey found 50.2 per cent of 30-year-olds owned their own home in 2016, down from 55 per cent among baby boomers a generation earlier.

It's not just housing, but everything is more expensive.

I have a novel idea. Maybe if we took all the millennials and made them each eat 1000 popscicles, you know the ones with the wooden sticks. Then, we could relocate all the French and French Canadians to Victoria Island. With all that free space and popsicle sticks each person could have their own little shack.

Sounds simple enough to me.

Quote from: "seoulbro"Big-spending politicians often insist that more government spending is needed to help the poor. The cost of living is going up, therefore government must increase its spending and run bigger deficits to ensure the poor don't get left behind, or so the profligate politicians like to claim.

But there are a few problems with this claim. Firstly,

The way we can eliminate big government is if we go out into a lightning storm with jars and catch the lightning bolts, using gloves of course; gotta be safe. When we've caught our fill of lightning bolts, we will store the jars in a dark place for one year, that way the lightning bolts cure properly.

After a year, we take our bottled lightning bolts out of hiding and march to our province government offices and offer them a trade. Our cured bottled lightning for a smaller government.

What is Third Rail Forum? I am from The Rock Factory. It's a gemologist site. We talk about all kinds of stones. We're fairly harmless, but we have been known to throw rocks once in a while....get it?! Lol...

You can call me Jenna.

Maybe you could fashion a windsail on a skateboard and save on gas? Perhaps you could catch 100 rats and make harnesses and have then pull you in a red wagon? Or my favorite is you could find a flying dragon, offer a princess to sacrifice and ride said so dragon to work.

Or just take a bus.

Buses hurt the environment and because of the spike in gas prices, it's now probably 49.99 to ride the bus to work. So I also suggest a camel that runs fast, plus they have that hump thing on their back, so they won't get easily dehydrated.

Lots of camels on the streets would cause a lot greater environmental problems I would think.

You think so? I do vaguely remember in the Middle East and in Africa that camels are used as livestock in crowded markets on a daily basis, and both those continents didn't fall into the ocean or get sucked up in a pollution tornado. Plus, I think their carbon footprint would be smaller in the long run.
