Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and former presidential candidate, died Thursday at age 93, CBN announced.



CBN said he died at his home surrounded by family. The cause of his death was not announced.



Robertson founded the influential Christian Broadcasting Network in 1960 and anchored its top program "The 700 Club" until 2021. As the show grew in popularity, so did Robertson. Using his popularity, he helped make religion a big part of Republican politics and ushered in the early evangelical right movement.



Robertson took a brief hiatus from the show in 1987 and 1988 to vie for the Republican presidential nomination, coming in third behind then-Vice President George Bush and Sen. Bob Dole.



Robertson's "The 700 Club" grew from a telethon when Robertson asked 700 viewers to contribute $10 a month.  The program welcomed a number of U.S. presidents, including Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

So I heard a rumor on the net that Jaime Foxx has a blood clot on the brain and he is now half paralyzed and blind and everyone is blaming the jab. Normally I would dismiss this as trolling but it seems to be picking up, I'm seeing reports on news sites and influencers are starting to talk about it. Hope the guy recovers regardless.

A care company has apologized after accidentally called one of its homes "Skeleton Court" in an advert.



The advert for Skelton Court Care Home, in the village of Skelton, near Saltburn-by-the-Sea, appeared in a bus stop.



It prompted a slew of jokes on social media after a picture was posted by Twitter user @slowbones.



He wrote: "A new care home has opened in my parents' village of Skelton. "Bold choice of name considering the age of many residents."



A spokesperson for Anchor, which runs the home, said: "We're really sorry for the error in the ad. "We're getting it removed as soon as possible and looking into how it happened."
