It was in Itaewon which is right outside the old A.erican Yongsan Army base.  It is known as the foreigners district in Seoul and the main area was known among American soldiers as "hooker hill" for obvious reasons.  I have been there many times and the night market is a great place to sample Korean Street food, get a soju kettle, and hit the clubs.

The Yongsan base closed in 2018,

The US economy grew for the first time in six months. I see the markets have been having a good week.

Markets will do better in the final quarter as they usually do. The effects of reckless fiscal policy will be felt next year.

Why?  Because I point out facts you dislike?  Maybe you really should spend some time in Russia just so then you could truthfully see how bad it is.  Maybe then you might not shill for a corrupt and evil dictator who has oppressed an entire country.

If you don't want to do that, or can't,  maybe look at some actual real life Russian vbloggers who document real life in Russia.  Vasya in the hay is a good example of that as is Inside Russia.

Am I shilling for Putin? Really?

He IS basically a dictator who has allowed himself and his cronies to be enriched by his position, but as for "oppressed" an entire country or calling him evil? Wtf?

He's modernised Russia far further than anyone else could have and relatively quickly in the grand scheme of things. As for suggesting that some parts of regional or remote Russia don't have running water (or water main connections, rather) or electrical grid connections, I can point to the very same fucking shit here in Oz or North America.

I don't have to "shill" for Russia any more than you shilling for the West... (a crumbling suicidal West at that).

WHAT I object to are the double standards America applies to other  nations like Russia.

JFK stopped the Cuban Missile transfer.... he's applauded for it. Putin did the same for his country, and he's vilified for it.

Good men do evil shit sometimes, evil men do good on occasions, because there are NO truly good or evil people out there....

I wish you'd abandon this unbridled patriotism angle. It makes you look like a deranged Leftist.

How long will it be before those of us who oppose Washington's proxy war with Russia are labelled deniers.

No, I am not fooling myself. You're fooling yourself, or rather your ingrained patriotism and aged biases are...

Russia is objectively a shithole and even you know it or else why haven't you moved there?  Patriotism has nothing to do with it.  You too could make $600 per month and live a life of poverty in Russia so why not do it?

I guess Norway is a shithole too. DD hasn't moved there either.

Does anyone seriously think a country with the 55th highest GDP per capita has expansionist plans. The invasion of Ukraine is an act of desperation by a middle income country that is being bullied by the most powerful country in the world.

A group of liberal Democratic representatives wants Joe Biden to negotiate with Russia.

They say they want to avoid a prolonged conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

The US has provided Ukraine with $60 billion in aid, and says it's up to Kyiv when to negotiate.

A group of 30 liberal Democratic representatives urged President Joe Biden to pursue negotiations with Russia to end the war in Ukraine, in the first sign of disagreement in the party over the White House's strategy.

In a letter to Biden, the lawmakers, led by Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal, said that direct negotiations with Russia should be opened in order to avoid prolonging the war even further.

"Given the destruction created by this war for Ukraine and the world, as well as the risk of catastrophic escalation, we also believe it is in the interests of Ukraine, the United States, and the world to avoid a prolonged conflict," the members of the House of Representatives wrote.

Bags of poop have been thrown at the home of socialist Seattle councilmember Kshama Sawant.

Despite leading efforts to defund the city's police department in 2020, Sawant is saying police are dragging their feet on finding the culprit.

Sawant demanded that police post officers outside her home from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. until the suspect is arrested, according to multiple sources who spoke to Rantz on the condition of anonymity.

Argentina has hit the 100% mark inflation in less than a year

Seems to be the "new normal" in Latin America

Vote for the left, vote for inflation

Now it's Colombia going the same way

Argentina used to be a very wealthy nation. Colombia's former conservative president had his country on the right track. I believe money from outside the  region is getting marxists elected in South America.

Earnings are coming in better than expected. But, it will be short term. Markets will not likely reach bottom until 2023. Continuing to raise interest rates will deepen the pain unnecessarily.

Most of the street homeless (like 90%+) are hard core drug addicts.  All of them could go to homeless shelters if they wanted to do so but then they'd need to go to free state paid rehab and they don't want to do that.  This why they are street homeless.

If I was raised in California, I would have fled the state as soon as I graduated from university.

Since Americans are paying for Ukraine's war efforts, American taxpayers have every right to demand a negotiated settlement.
