Are they sure your son's test wasn't a false positive? There's been some cases of those.

The only thing a college degree shows is that you've had four years of liberal indoctrination and zero real world experience. They're worthless. Go to electrician's school instead if you want to make good money.

That's a shame, those midnight movies were great fun. They'd have the classics like 2001 and Clockwork Orange, sci-fi with Forbidden Planet, Them!, weird ones like The Dark Backward, zombie movies... and of course, Rocky Horror.

Only bad one I ever went to was The Man With One Red Shoe. Drank three beers and smoked a joint before going in and still didn't like it.  :yuk:

Yvette Mimieux, star of the 1960 sci-fi flick "The Time Machine," has passed away at 80.

She died in her sleep from natural causes on Tuesday morning, her family's rep confirmed to Deadline.

Mimieux just celebrated her 80th birthday on Jan. 8.

She was best known for starring alongside Rod Taylor in the film adaption of H.G. Wells' novel "The Time Machine," but had notable roles in the movies "Where the Boys Are," "Platinum High School," "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" and "Light in the Piazza."

Mimieux later made a foray into television, guest starring on two episodes of the Richard Chamberlain series "Dr. Kildare." On the show, she made history by becoming the first person on American television to show her belly button.

Researchers in Oregon say that compounds found in cannabis could possibly prevent the virus that causes COVID-19 from entering healthy human cells.

The study was published Monday in the "Journal of Nature Products."

Researchers affiliated with Oregon State University say two compounds found in hemp, cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) and cannabidiolic acid, had the potential to keep COVID-19 from forming.

According to the study, the compounds can prevent the virus from entering cells and causing infection by binding to spike proteins.

The researchers tested the compounds' effects against the SARS-CoV-2 alpha variant B.1.1.7 and the beta variant B.1.35.
