I read on a toilet wall at a tavern called Stoned Crow in North Fremantle 1978...

"If you catch a man, throw him back"

Sadly, it didn't catch on.

Sadly, it's $5.00 for a cup of coffee in expensive, greed driven WA. A muffin will set you back another $5.00...

Quote from: "Bricktop"Caskur...please...we both know that Freud would never harm a native animal. He doesn't have the bones to do something naughty.

He just loves to prod and poke.

He's a hunter. He told me about his deer hunting exploits in the USA... And I heard him complain about the birds on his lawn when we spoke on the phone.

He is dead serious... trust me on this one!~

A Rosella parakeet in my garden chowing down on lawn flowers. Couldn't get up close without spooking it so had to zoom on a phone camera hence the lack of quality.

I meant very lovely to this photo...

I would love the have these birds drop by my place.

We're infested by them. They seem to travel in pairs. We also get infestations of Galah's and Sulfur Crested Cockatoo's ripping up our lawns looking for insects or in our fruit and deciduous trees chewing through fruit and seed pods. Then there's the dumb Kookaburra's, especially the young ones which are constantly slamming into our windows and getting stunned or knocked out. Suffice to say, if you wash your vehicle, park it undercover, or it's a waste of time.

At least the bats don't come around often.

They go for Guilford grass, sometimes called Onion Weed...

This one

The most importand thing in Australia are trees and birds.... anyone not like/loving either should leave our continent immediately. That means YOU.

Quote from: "Fashionista"I think bin chickens is like a garbage eater.

I think they're fantastic... other wordly looking but some people consider them pests.

It's that way with anything native... they're considered pests. ie farmers shoot native birds or poison them... birds that are worth $15,000 a pair overseas.

Sadly, I live in a country of cranks.

Another story, another time!~

Me too Fash... I had to write a description into google... I knew they were Ibis, I had just never observed the markings which were mainly dark. Our local ibis are mainly white.
