I would suggest teaching your children to be as self-sufficient as possible. That is what we are doing both for our children and ourselves. We have spent a lot of time teaching ourselves to hunt and process our own food, growing gardens, preserving food by canning and dehydrating, learning to sew, and making candles from animal fat. Maybe they will never be skills that you just HAVE to have, but you give yourself more options and better odds if you can take care of yourself.

I agree with Azhya...we are not done hearing about it, but you won't hear more until after the election. Apparently, several General's were removed from their posts for refusing to stand down and not help. That news has been almost completely supressed.

From all of the news reports I have seen today the polls are reporting Obama at 48% and Romney at 47%. Do you think the polls are right? Will the election results Tuesday really be this close?

They aren't the only ones. There were several news stories out of the United States where employees were told to get the flu shot or find another job. http://www.csindy.com/coloradosprings/calling-the-shots/Content?oid=2574844">Here is one of them.

I have no illusions that a Romney presidency will remarkably turn the economy around. I do, however, think that four more years of Obama would lead the US to ruins that they may never recover from. Time for a CHANGE alright!
