At the same time, it kinda looks like a cabin from a horror flick lol. Like either Evil Dead, or Cabin in the Woods?

No. I am a city boy.

I know there are people that post here that could.

We used to transit through Moscow when we lived in Kazakhstan..

I was fortunate to have spent time in that city.....it's so clean, so efficient and so safe.

I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Same, but a different area lol.

We had woods where we had made a dirt bike path. And a huge hill and dirt ramp at the bottom. Now there is condos there, sad. They even removed the huge ass rock that overlooked our apartments. I would stand on that rock, with my boombox blastin', practicing my karate and spinning my nunchucks lol. They use to call me "the next White Boy Bruce Lee"  :crampe:

I grew up in a very racially and religiously mixed suburb of a concrete jungle. I introduced my Middle Eastern Muslim friends to soju and they introduced me to shisha and black hash.

Three blocks East of the house I grew up in was a synagogue where the cantor's son was on my baseball team. Two blocks South of that was a mosque. In between were Coptic Christian Churches, as well as Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, and Hindi language churches.

We all hung out together. It was great.

Interesting!

I'm glad I had woods nearby to play in, I love the woods. We would build forts with logs and boulders lol. All kinds of stuff.

I grew up in poverty while living with my Mom, Section 8 apartments (government funded), around lots of Blacks. This area was mostly White and Black. The Latinos started booming here about 25 years ago. We are still very low on Asians, sadly lol (except for students at VA Tech), but they are starting to pop up.

I have driven through Richmond on 95 to Florida. Not much to see really.

I heard Roanoke was not as slummy. It is a village compared to Toronto.

We weren't exactly rich, but we were not poverty stricken either. My parents owned a convenience store and gas station.

I didn't see the same social cohesion when I was in Toronto the last time......in all fairness, I was only there for two days.
