Rep. Shri Thanedar, a 70-year-old Michigan Democrat drowning in primary challenges, introduced seven articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump late last month, citing "a sweeping abuse of power, flagrant violations of the Constitution, and acts of tyranny that undermine American democracy and threaten the rule of law."

On Tuesday, he implored his colleagues to support his articles of impeachment, stressing, "It's never the wrong time to stand up for our Constitution." Thanedar's fellow Democrats appear, however, to have convinced him it was actually a bad time.

Thanedar was set to call up the resolution for floor consideration on Wednesday, but backed down at the last moment in an apparent effort to spare himself further embarrassment.

"This week, Democrats ousted their DNC 'leader,' opposed the largest tax cut in history, and were exposed for actively covering up Joe Biden's four-year cognitive decline. Now, Democrats have turned their sights to threatening impeachment. We are witnessing the collapse of the Democrat Party before our eyes," White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly told Blaze News. "Not a single one of these efforts will help the American people. The contrast could not be more clear: President Trump is fighting for historic tax relief for the American people, Democrats are fighting themselves."

The Bloc Québécois is expected to challenge the result in the federal riding of Terrebonne, where the party lost by one vote, as Elections Canada revealed issues with five more mail-in ballots.

But, Elections Canada is still giving the riding to the Liberals. The Liberals are just as corrupt as the democRATs in the US.

This along with impeaching Trump are the priorities of the Dems when they take back the House next year.

House Democrat Launching Resolution for U.S. to Spend 'Trillions' on Reparations

A House Democrat from Pennsylvania named Summer Lee is introducing a resolution, calling on the United States to spend 'trillions' of dollars on reparations for black Americans over slavery.

A similar resolution was introduced by former Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri in 2023, before she was voted out of office.

A coalition of Democratic lawmakers and advocates on Thursday reintroduced a resolution to offer reparations to descendants of enslaved Africans and people of African descent...

"We're here to say that there's no more waiting, no more watering down, no more putting justice on layaway," said Lee, the descendant of enslaved Africans. "Black folks are owed more than thoughts and prayers. We're owed repair, we're owed restitution and we're owed justice."

The resolution calls for the federal government to allocate trillions of dollars in reparations to Black Americans to atone for chattel slavery, Jim Crow and the ongoing effects of other federally sanctioned discriminatory policies.

Senator Van Hollen suggested cuts at USAID have already led to deaths in Sudan — and other actions taken by the administration in recent months.

"I'm very proud of the work we've done over at the USAID," said Marco
Rubio. "For example, I don't regret cutting $10 million for male circumcisions in Mozambique. I don't know how that makes us stronger or more prosperous as a nation."

"I could go on and on," continued Rubio, running down a list of other wasteful USAID grants and programs eliminated under his leadership.

Rubio then addressed a matter near and dear to Van Hollen's heart: the deportation of suspected terrorist gang members to El Salvador.

Rubio was referring to MS-13 associate Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national the Trump administration deported on March 15.

Van Hollen is chief among the Democrats who have tried to bring Abrego Garcia back to the United States despite his initial illegal entry into the homeland, his failure to appear for hearings on traffic violations, the domestic abuse allegations lodged against him, his links to a terrorist gang, his identification by two immigration courts as a danger to the community, and his alleged history of human trafficking.

Last month, Van Hollen met with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador and shared an intimate moment over drinks.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. released his 68-page MAHA Commission report detailing the dark reality of America's health and how to fix it.

Kennedy's report highlights root causes of chronic diseases, obesity, autoimmune conditions, and behavior disorders in children. The report points to multiple culprits, including ultra-processed foods, exposure to chemicals like pesticides, and lack of exercise, as well as "overmedicalization." Underlying all of these issues, the report notes that corporate influence in medicine and health care has been one of the driving forces that has led to all of these problems.

"To turn the tide and better protect our children, the United States must act decisively," the report reads. "During this administration, we will begin reversing the childhood chronic disease crisis by confronting its root causes — not just its symptoms. This means pursuing truth, embracing science, and enacting pro-growth policies and innovations to restore children's health. Today's children are tomorrow's workforce, caregivers, and leaders — we can no longer afford to ignore this crisis."

"After a century of costly and ineffective approaches, the federal government will lead a coordinated transformation of our food, health, and scientific systems," the report reads. "This strategic realignment will ensure that all Americans — today and in the future — live longer, healthier lives, supported by systems that prioritize prevention, well-being, and resilience."

The MAHA Commission, which was established by one of President Donald Trump's executive orders, was tasked with investigating the drivers of America's health epidemic.

The report found that as much as 70% of foods children consume contain ultra-processed ingredients and concluded that scientific funding for pharmaceutical, chemical, and food companies has contributed to rising chronic diseases.

Additionally, the report found that there's been a 1,400% increase in prescriptions for antidepressants in American children from 1987 to 2014, also known as "overmedicalization." The report also questioned the current childhood vaccine protocol and said that vaccines would benefit from a "more rigorous clinical trial" design.
