Carson Hocevar, currently the 20th-ranked driver in the NASCAR Cup Series, was preparing for the Viva Mexico 250 race in Mexico City and was livestreaming himself using a driving simulator to practice the track.

With the question from a viewer "are u a fan of the track" visible on screen, Hocevar began describing his experience in Mexico City, and it was his description of the lack of safety in the city that landed him in hot water.

Hocevar began by saying that if "the travel was better, if getting here was easier, if you felt safer getting to and from everywhere," it would be a much better experience — but he did not stop there. The driver unleashed even more descriptors of the trip that were holding him back from having a good time.

"If it wasn't such a s***hole, if the track limits were a little better enforced, if it was gonna be a little bit better of a race and it wasn't so easy or feel so locked down like you can't leave anywhere, it'd be a great experience. It'd be an absolutely great experience. If you take all those out, it's unbelievable."

Carson is now subject to "mandatory cultural-sensitivity and bias-awareness training," with the racing team citing the word "respect" written on their cars as a reason for the training.

If the Dodgers plan on helping the illegals, then I hope they never win another world series.  Let them go thru a long period, kind of like the Cubs did.

I hope they go broke and have to sell the franchise.

They're donating one million to help immigrant families affected by the raids.

One million, how generous... that's probably what they make off one night of beer sales.

I do not like pro sports teams interfering with politics. Interfering with the law is much worse.

In a letter to the FBI, suspected political assassin Vance Luther Boelter blamed Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for the June 14 shooting rampage that killed a key Democratic House member and her husband and seriously wounded a Democratic state senator and his wife.

The Supreme Court on Friday declined to fast-track a legal challenge to President Donald Trump's tariffs, rejecting a motion to expedite the case and delaying consideration despite pressure from affected companies.

This pisses me off.

Conman Carney and his government just voted to keep every last cent of benefits for the Governor General.

Here's what happened. Parliament held a vote to approve $22 million in operating funds for the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General for the rest of the fiscal year.

Bloc MP Christine Normandin formally submitted a motion of dissent, but she and her Bloc colleagues were the only ones to oppose the spending.

That funding covers a Rideau Hall package loaded with luxury: a salary over $350,000, $150,000 as an annual pension, and a $200,000-a-year for life expense account for former Governors General.

It also includes a mansion, full-time staff, international travel, and even a clothing allowance. All paid by taxpayers.

Carney rubber stamped the spending and the House of Commons went along with it.

An estimated 21.8 million senior citizens in America make ends meet solely using their social security funds, The Senior Citizens League (TSCL) said in a June 20 statement.

There are more than 68 million Social Security beneficiaries as of 2024, according to data from the Social Security Administration (SSA).

"Almost two-thirds of seniors who completed the survey said they were dissatisfied with the amount they receive from their monthly Social Security checks," said the TSCL statement.

These numbers mirror Canada.

A shocking plot from 10- and 11-year-old girls to murder a boy and then stage his death as a suicide was thwarted when another student overheard them, police say.

Details of the plot from the group of girls at the Legacy Traditional School's West Surprise campus in Surprise, Arizona, were released in a police report.

Police said the four girls planned the plot during a lunch and recess on Oct. 1, 2024. The student who overheard them reported the conversation to school officials.

The plot had a role for each of the girls. One was supposed to have forged the suicide note to make it appear that the boy had committed suicide. Another girl was tasked with bringing the knife to school. Another girl was supposed to act like a lookout while the last girl would commit the stabbing.
