The area next to Port Botany bears his name to this day and things might have looked a great deal different (some would argue better) had the frogs beaten the poms to the punch.

Let's face it, tropical paradises are more fun a pile of red dirt littered with numbats and comatose woobla drinkers, possibly with Jimmy Barnes or Peter Garret screeching screeching in the background, I dunno.



I kid. Australia isn't without its charm, but if there's a dearth of Francophones there, I can understand why. Plenty of more agreeable climates to be had if you're going to spend the time to get halfway around the world, better cultures too I reckon. And Australia used to be a kinder, more welcoming place back in the day. Like Ottawa was ten years ago. Maybe they all moved out.
