Wish there're some cockatoos here in Toronto to visit my backyard, or these cute little quails with the flag on top of their heads would be nice too.
Are they game birds?

Yep, these guys tend to breed quite well, think a lot of people in teh southern part of the US hunt and eat them like wild little chickens.
Or little wild pigeons.

Yea and pigeons too, kinda feel sorry for those little guys.  ac_unsure
Permanently off his rocker

I have seen pigeons in supermarkets in China. Maybe it was quail.

I saw some kind of cooked  birds hanging across a string. They were about the size of pigeons/quail.

We have quails here. I've seen them on mountain trails.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Sounds interesting, but they seem like pets lol, though I've had rabbit several times, and fried rabbit is awesome, with gravy. My great grandma use to make it, and I made it for my aunt one Christmas a few years ago.

Natives in Peru raise them for food.
