Post whatever you can think of about law enforcement....good, bad or indifferent.

I haven't seen any speed traps since this extreme cold snap started.

Until recent salary increases, police work in Israel was a low wage occupation.

LOW PAY IS THE NO. 1 COMPLAINT EXPRESSED BY POLICE OFFICERS

Long hours without overtime means many are earning less than the minimum wage.

He was wearing a seat-belt.

Than how can he get a ticket for not wearing a seat belt?

Frood

I got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt about 12 years ago as I was pulling away from the petrol station after having to roll the windows down and strain to navigate out the side to see what was behind me and how much clearance I had on the four corners of my vehicle. Literally 200-300 millimetres on a 5-6 point shimmy.

The moment I got down the driveway, put on my seatbelt,  and hit the public road, was when I got pulled over and fined for not wearing a seatbelt. The fine was was huge. If I could have slit his throat with my car keys, poured the contents of my engine's motor oil down the gasping air hole, then turd on his retinas while he begged for medical help, I wouldn't have called anyone.

Total POS. Tried to reason with the idiot but the police employ the most unreasonable and moronic of idiots.

I didn't know the expressway was under construction with reduced speed limits until I was in it..

And, I got a ticket in the mail about ten days later.

That's a common trick they do to get revenue notches on their belts. They play with confusions on signage.

An area or straightaway can be marked down but the side roads don't get signage for that. So you merge onto the main with standard posted speeds and get pinged distantly days later in the mail because there were no changed traffic signs between the moment you entered the main, traveled awhile down it, before you encounter a change speed sign.

It's why I record onboard these days. I'm tired of badged thieves lying.

That's  municipalities raking in cash. Cops have nothing to do with that.
