Milo Yiannopolour barred from Australia

This is one of the biggest changes in the left --they used to be strong defenders of free speech, now they are its biggest threat.

We are advised by our news service that our effete and delicate Government proposes to bar raconteur and right wing activist (one of the few) Milo Yiannopolous from entering Australia for a series of public talks (again...he was here last year).



On his last tour, the rabble gathered outside his venue in Melbourne to "protest". The Victorian Police then sent Milo a bill for their presence because it was HIS fault the socialists were rioting in the street.



Wisely, Milo refused to pay.



However, on yet another attack on freedom of speech, this time they want to keep him out. Consequently, I have sent the letter below to the relevant Federal Government minister.



"Dear Minister...I refer to your reported intent to refuse a visa application submitted by Milo Yiannopolous to enter Australia for the purposes of conducting a series of public talks. As one of the (apparently) many Australians incapable of rational thought, let alone judgment and common sense, I am grateful to you for protecting me against ideas and speech that may cause me to question the policies and social management of the government. I cannot imagine how conflicted and disharmonious I would become if I were to hear dissenting opinions and viewpoints to that of the government imposed status quo. Clearly, too many ideas and too much contradiction will lead to the collapse of Australian society. Thank you also for protecting me from potential civil disruption by enlightened academics, unionists and socialist activists whose activities (despite being unlawful) cannot be disrupted. It is clear that only these dissidents are qualified to tell us what to think.



Now that I am aware that only the rabble have a valid reason to be concerned about how our society is managed and how social issues should be resolved, I can cease thinking for myself. I shall sleep much easier knowing that my cogitations and concerns are being taken care of.



Finally, I do hope my letter to you does not contravene any freedom of speech legislation. I would hate to cause offence."

If the government can stop them or anyone else from speaking they can stop you from speaking as well.  Do you think the government should be able to say "Even though Caskur didn't break any laws, we don't like Caskur's opinions so she should be silenced?"

That's happened to me on fb... banned from two groups so I started my own.



I don't really care. I may have at one time cared. No law can really stop me because I will make sure I find a way around it/laws. I'm not scared of the government or the courts.
