4 matching numbers should have gotten me at least a thousand dollars. So not fair. Next draw I'll get all 6 and become a millionaire!

You lucky guy. Now you can take your girlfriend or wife out to a lower priced chain restaurant and have one drink each and share an appetizer.

A very fine and easily drinkable single malt from a distillery I've had the privilege of visiting.

That's terrific TVG..

I never win anything, but the reason might be that I never buy lottery tickets.

Of course, the important point is how much has he invested for a return of $91?

And over how many years.

Over here, lotteries are dominated by huge investment organisations that swamp each draw with millions of tickets, reducing their odds of winning dramatically.

The chances of one-off buyers winning is extremely remote. And if they do, the pool is usually shared with larger syndicates.

Do you mean that investment organizations buy huge amounts of tickets?

Bricktop

Yes.

They scan the numbers and use a computer program to work out the odds, then spend millions on tickets.

There's not much point in buying lottery tickets in Australia.

Many people just pick the minimum number of lines to play and religiously use the same numbers. The quick pick tickets don't often win much of anything.
Blahhhhhh...
