My mom bought a few stuff rabbit dolls when I was a kid and was her favorite animal, but since now I have button quails she seems to like them even more. ac_cool

One of my dogs brought me a baby wild rabbit the other day. I took the dead thing out of his mouth before he could eat it. I felt bad. The dog look so sad that I took his new toy away but those rodent things are full of parasites and worm medicine is expensive.

Wild rabbits are very edible if you know how to clean and cook them right. Believe me, growing up in a family that hunted I have eaten lots of wild game. From squirrels to moose, it's all edible if you know what you are doing.

We don't have many cottontails around here. We do have a lot of those big hares, which really are inedible to everything except coyotes.

Different tastes for different people. I much prefer wild rabbit over the domestic varieties. Domestic rabbit tastes like chicken and if I want to eat chicken I will do so. It's easier to prepare and a shit ton cheaper. Also for the most part wild game has less fat and no antibiotics and other unhealthy shit injected into it.

We know several several hunters and they often give us wild game..

We like ruffed grouse, ringneck pheasant, elk, moose, venison, and pronghorn antelope.
