I understand you want the best for these birds, but what if I tell you domesticated bird can be a lot happier than living in the wild due to a few reasons.



Wild birds have to worry about hunger, getting eaten by a predator or even bullied by their own species.  As long as we eat meat, we're supporting domesticated animals too.  A bird that grew up in a home, or simply a housebird doesn't know the wilderness exist, simply to say they can't feel the wildlife experience they're missing and won't be depressed due to it.  And most important is as long as the owner is a caring person like Fash who would spend quality time with her pets, how is it possible to be so worrisome.  I detest killing animals as a sport or for recreation, but as a pet I'm sure what is done is the complete opposite.  ac_cool

I used to have some from Oz too, one of them is the Diamond dove, Owl finch, White-eye and the famous Gouldian finch, but they pass away from old age, though a couple of them died from night freight while I was asleep.  Now it's just all pigeons and quails.
